One of the newest additions to the long line of cast of the show is Joseph Quinn, playing Eddie Munson, and in the unfortunate turn of events, he got caught up with what is happening in Hawkins. Now that he is in the middle of it, will he be the one to save all of them through music in Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2?
Will Eddie Save Them All in Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2?
Eddie Munson made his debut in Stranger Things Season 4 as the head of the Hellfire Club, the Dungeons and Dragons group that Dustin, Mike, and Lucas belong to. In the unfortunate turn of events, Eddie got caught up with the death of Chrissy Cunningham and while he is the main suspect of the whole town, Dustin and the others know otherwise.
As introduced in the first episode, Eddie plays the guitar. Chrissy remembered him from the band Corroded Coffin back when they were younger. However, when Chrissy died, it was unfortunately in the trailer of Eddie which is why the whole town is after him in the middle of a satanic panic associating the game Dungeons and Dragons to Satan.
Max, however, knows that it is the work of something else that they thought they defeated in Season 3. It turns out this is something new and they called the villain, Vecna, like the antagonist in the Dungeons and Dragons game, with the telepathic connection of Vecna to his victims.
Eddie got mixed up with the Hawkins crew and by the end of Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1, he already went on a trip to the Upside Down.
In the newest trailer of Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2, Eddie goes to his trailer in the Upside Down and picks up his guitar saying, “Let’s do it” In another scene, he is playing music at the top of his trailer and the thunder and lighting in the Upside Down just roars. Well, there’s something about one’s favorite song that ties someone to the normal world.
In Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 Episode 4, Dear Billy, when Max is lost in the Upside Down while in Vecna’s curse, Robin and Nancy found out from Victor Creel that hearing his favorite song spared him from death in the hands of Vecna. They learned this in time when Max is on the brink of death and they played her favorite song just in time for her escape.
It is expected that it may be revealed why playing one's favorite song can help anyone escape the curse of Vecna like how it works with Max which may also be the same for others. Currently, it is Nancy under Vecna's curse but as seen in the first look images, she's back with the group means she gets saved.
It is theorized that it would be Robin who would save Nancy since when Nancy brought Robin to her room, she found the tapes of her favorite songs. In the trailer, someone else is playing with Eddie, it is highly possible that it is Robin, given her knowledge in music.
If Eddie would be having a concert in the Upside Down, will he be able to save anyone from there and help stop Vecna? Worse, is there anyone from the group that needed a song to be saved from Vecna’s curse? Well, he’d surely keep the villain out of anyone’s head and into his music.

Is Eddie 010 in Stranger Things Season 4?
This theory circulated online that there may be a possibility that Eddie Munson is 010 from the Hawkins National Laboratory with Eleven and One, and might have survived the massacre of One. While there is a resemblance between the two, this speculation is quite far-fetched since the ages of Eddie and 010 will not add up.
Eddie said in the first episode that his age is around 19-20 as he took senior year more than once already. That is in 1986. As for the massacre at Hawkins lab, it happened in 1979, which means Eddie must have been 12-13 years old by that time. He’d be a little too old for 010 who looks younger than that age.
Also, Chrissy mentioned that she knew Eddie from when they were young as the buzzcut haired kid. Eddie could not possibly 010 since he knew Chrissy as young as in middle school, possibly around the same time as the massacre at the Hawkins lab. It’s a nice theory but no one can discount the fact that Eddie is clueless about powered people or the Upside Down.
Will Eddie Be in Stranger Things Season 5?
To date, no one is unsure what may happen in the last two episodes of Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2 but it is certain, as revealed by Noah Schnapp, that there will be deaths, and Stranger Things has a track record of killing off a newly introduced character that the fans just learned to love but had to lose.
Popular theories suggest that one of the new characters, Eddie, or Enzo, will not make it, and there are also hints that it might be Robin since in the trailer of Volume 2, she is seen to be tied up by Vecna in the Upside Down.
When Joseph Quinn was asked by The Guardian whether he will be back for Stranger Things Season 5, he played coy in his answer, "I'll be furious if they don't bring me back. I'd love to, if they'll have me."
With Eddie Munson being a great addition to the cast, many are already calling for his safety especially with the newest trailer released for Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2. He’s playing music in the Upside Down, nothing is safe there, that is for sure.
