Nancy’s fate remains unknown after Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 1 dropped on Netflix and she is the latest victim of Vecna to be trapped in a trance-like state where she gets stuck in the Upside Down just before escaping it. But, here’s a theory, they could replicate how they saved Max and this time, Robin could be key in doing the same.

Theory: How Can Robin Save Nancy In Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 1?
In Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 1, Robin and Nancy seem like an unlikely pair but they worked really well together, possibly the most productive throughout the series. From scrolling through the archives to look for clippings about Victor Creel, to their appointment at Pennhurst faking being students working on their thesis, up to following Steve into the Upside Down.
However, while Robin and Eddie were fortunate enough to get out of the Upside Down through the gate at Eddie’s trailer, Nancy wasn’t and Steve could not leave her alone while she was in a trance-like state after Vecna’s curse got to her.
Just like the other victims of Vecna, Nancy is also going through something: she’s having problems with Jonathan. Their plan to go through college together was a blur, Jonathan did not visit for spring break as he was in California with Eleven and his family, and it is as if Nancy still has feelings for Steve.

Vecna got to Nancy and the very first vision she got was the pool where Barb died. Her guilt as to Barb’s death ties her deep into the Upside Down as if she was complicit with what happened to her best friend because she chose to be with Steve that very night.
And how will Robin play a part in saving Nancy? Well, looking through the series, in Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 1 Episode 4, Dear Billy, when they were preparing for their visit to Victor Creel at the Pennhurst Asylum, Nancy took Robin and Steve to her room. Like a child, Robin was in awe of the stuff Nancy owns, including the tapes of her favorite songs.
From the information they gathered from Victor Creel, there’s a way to escape Vecna’s curse: through music. They have proven this with Max and they played her favorite songs to keep her out of Vecna’s trance. With Robin looking through the favorite songs of Nancy, she can play the song to her in any manner, may it be through tapes or she could personally play it through her trumpet.
Will they be able to save Nancy in time before Vecna snaps her out of existence like what he did to Chrissy, Fred, and Patrick?
