[SPOILER WARNING]

While it's undeniably clear that Stranger Things 4 is the show's finest, fans are on the edge of their seats as they witness the Hawkins crew's most terrifying adventure. But it looks like one episode stood out that left the fans completely blown away, and that’s no other than the show's fourth episode, titled, Dear Billy.

The Dear Billy episode follows Max's (Sadie Sink) realization that she became prey to Vecna's curse, which unluckily gives her less than one day to live. In preparation for her gruesome death, Max wrote letters that appear to be a farewell to each of her friends, including her mother. After Max pays a visit to her deceased brother Billy, Vecna eerily appeared, and everyone thought that this would be the end of Max's tragic fate.

Fortunately, of course, her friends wouldn't let that happen. To save Max, the Hawkins crew found a way to help Max and played a song that would help her get back to her senses and flee from Vecna. This scene highlights Sadie Sink's phenomenal performance as an actress, exquisite cinematography, and amazing musical score that paints the sequence as perfection. With the show's overall performance, fans instantly praised Sadie for carrying the outstanding episode.

Alongside the fan reactions, Shawn Levy, who helmed the Dear Billy episode also retweeted a tweet captioned, “Isn't Sadie insanely good???…..directing “Dear Billy” is right up there among the most inspiring filmmaking experiences of my career.”

It's good to know that Stranger Things has finally given a complete character arc for Sadie's Max, considering that her character has suffered so much after her step-brother Billy sacrificed himself to save her in the show's third season. Sadie Sink has also earned a tremendous amount of fandom ever since she was introduced to the Stranger Things franchise. But let's admit it, Max is now one of our favorite characters from the Hawkins crew, and we were all surely troubled with the Dear Billy episode thinking that she would not survive.

Although Max's fate is still uncertain now that she is still under Vecna's curse, it would surely unfold how she would escape the villain's grasp, or maybe not.

Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 is now available to stream on Netflix, while Volume 2 will premiere on July 1.
