Daredevil Showrunner Steven S. DeKnight is fully on board about Daredevil: Born Again possibly still being rated TV-MA for its reboot. While the reboot is not going to be a continuation of the Disney+ original, it is speculated that the themes surrounding blood and violence will remain.
Recently, reputable scooper Daniel Richtman tweeted under Marvel Updates that Daredevil: Born Again will ‘likely’ maintain its same rating, to which DeKnight replied with delight: ‘Love it!’ Check out their tweet below:
Daredevil was canceled back in 2018 after running for three seasons, which shocked its fans who expected the show to gain more seasons as time went by. This, of course, brought to the attention, enough to raise a campaign to bring back the show.
Charlie Cox (who plays Matt Murdock) couldn’t believe Daredevil was slated to return after its initial cancellation. Ever since, he had been sharing his workout, in preparation to return on screen. Meanwhile, his Daredevil has made cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home and in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law. Cox shared he would be interested to have She-Hulk star Tatiana Maslany reprise her role in his series.
Though Daredevil’s Deborah Ann Woll (who played Karen Page in the series) has yet to be contacted to become a part of the series, she is very much interested in continuing her character arc, seeing as she has left unfinished business in the show. However, we may be seeing Wednesday star Jenna Ortega join Daredevil: Born Again in a mystery role.
There are no official announcements from Marvel Studios or Disney+ on this matter, but for more updates on this, you can check out more information here.
Daredevil: Born Again will have 18 episodes and is set to premiere on Disney+ in Spring 2024. Stay tuned on EpicStream for more updates on this story.
