September is going to be a big month for anime fans! With Nippon TV's new partnership with Netflix, anime classics like Berserk 1997 will be available on the streaming service. Not only that but Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will make its debut as well! So, if you have a subscription, here are the anime coming to Netflix in September 2022!

  1. Berserk 1997

    Who hasn't seen the original Berserk anime by now? It has a massive cult following because it is such a beloved classic anime. Despite being released in 1997, Berserk is still relevant today.

    Berserk 1997 is an action and fantasy seinen anime starring Guts, the renowned Black Swordsman.

    In the midst of life and death, Guts joins Griffith, the inspirational and ambitious leader of the mercenary group known as the Band of the Hawks.

    Despite his difficulties in life, Guts continues to travel the world while reaping the benefits of his labor.

    From one victory to the next, Guts discovers yet another side to the bloody wars and shady politics he has experienced.

  2. Death Note Relight 1 and 2

    Death Note Relight 1 and 2 are both Death Note series compilation films. The films are known as "director's cuts," which technically refer to a heavily edited non-canonical version of the original episodes.

    While Death Note Relight 1 is called Visions of a God, Death Note Relight 2 is called L's Successors. The film is based on the same premise as the anime, in which Light Yagami discovers a mysterious notebook falling from the sky by accident.

    The notebook was later known as the Death Note and was owned by the Shinigami of Death, Ryuk.

    Light becomes the owner of the notebook, which allows him to kill all kinds of bad guys by writing their full names in the notebook.

  3. From Me To You Seasons 1 and 2

    Perhaps one of the most beloved romance anime, From Me To You Seasons 1 and 2, will come to Netflix as well.

    Unlike other romance anime, From Me to You is a slow-burn. This means that the romance in the series develops slowly.

  4. Hunter x Hunter 2011

    Hunter x Hunter 2011, one of the most popular shounen anime, will also be added to the catalog in September.

    As a result, Netflix subscribers will be able to re-watch their favorite characters from Gon to Killua.

    Hunter x Hunter 2011 is the reboot of the original Hunter x Hunter anime series. While there are some differences in the premise, Hunter x Hunter centers on the aspiring professional hunter, Gon Freecs.

    Ouran High School Host Club follows the daily life of Haruhi Fujioka, a poor student at Ouran High School.

    While Haruhi initially wishes to keep her school life low-key and away from the wealthy students, she finds herself hanging out at a host club within the school.

    The members of the host club forced Haruhi to become a host after she accidentally broke an expensive vase in the club.

    Haruhi disguises herself as a boy in order to pay off her massive debt and stay in school.

  6. Claymore

    Claymore, which debuted in 2007, is an action and dark fantasy anime laid in a medieval and dystopian setting.

    Claire, a Claymore, struggles to maintain her humanity in a world infested with demons known as Yoma.

    Claymores are a group of half-demon, half-human women who are fated to turn into the demons they hunt. The Yoma, on the other hand, are vicious creatures who take on the appearance and memories of the humans they devour.

    Claire rescued Raki after his family was devoured by a Yoma. Since then, they have relied on one another as they face the wrath of the Yomas.

  7. Parasyte The Maxim

    Back in the day, Parasyte The Maxim followed in the footsteps of Tokyo Ghoul. Because both shows are in the same genre, they share elements such as body horror, sci-fi, action, and mystery. Not only that, but both shows have a killer anime opening!

    The anime depicts Izumi Shinichi's fate changing abruptly. Shinichi encountered one of the parasitic aliens that burrow into human brains when the world was infiltrated by them!

    Shinichi, on the other hand, manages to keep the parasite, Migi, from taking over his brain. Instead, it grabbed his right hand!

    Since then, the two of them have agreed to coexist inside Shinichi's body. In Parasyte the Maxim, what will happen to Shinichi and Migi?

    When it comes to romance anime, NANA is a show that never disappoints. In fact, NANA is regarded as one of the pioneers of modern shoujo romance.

    NANA, unlike other romance anime, is distinctive and complex, making it a very good and compelling watch.

    NANA follows two different people who happen to meet in the same place, at the same time. Furthermore, they share the same name.

    Nana Komatsu and Nana Osaki's fates were intertwined when they finally met.

    Monster, an anime masterpiece, will finally arrive on Netflix to showcase its intricate and compelling plot as well as its high standard of animation quality across all 74 episodes.

    Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting, a boxing anime from the year 2000, is a sports anime classic. It is the first anime adaptation of George Morikawa's popular manga series.

    It lasted two years before the sequel, Hajime no Ippo: The New Challenger, came out.

    The anime depicts Ippo Makunouchi's first attempt at boxing. Ippo has been a loser his entire life, with no friends or girlfriends. Worse, he is frequently beaten up by school bullies.

    When rising boxer Takamura saves Ippo one day, he decides to change his life and embark on a new career as an aspiring professional boxer.

  11. Bastard Heavy Metal Dark Fantasy Part 2

    Fans of the classic anime were excited to see Dark Schneider in action again when Bastard Heavy Metal Dark Fantasy Part 1 debuted on Netflix! The anticipation is building as Part 2 is set to premiere on Netflix as well in September.

    Bastard Heavy Metal Dark Fantasy Part 2 will recount the events after the fight between Arshes Nei and Dark Schneider in the Kingdom of Metallicana.

    Studio Trigger is back with yet another Netflix series! Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, a spin-off of the open-world, action-adventure RPG game Cyberpunk 2077, will be released on Netflix in September.

    The anime will have a 10-episode run that will begin on September 13th. The Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime will center on David Martinez, a street kid who is struggling to survive in a future city obsessed with technology and body modification.

    David chose to become an edge runner in order to survive. These mercenary outlaws are also referred to as cyberpunks.
