Who is Dark Schneider?
Dark Schneider is the overpowered main protagonist of the Bastard anime. He is the strongest dark wizard who leads the four divine kings in conquering the world. Dark Schneider used the abomination of the demon lord, Anthrasax, to dominate the kingdoms of the world in his previous life.
Dark Schneider was defeated and sealed into the body of a newborn baby in the fight against Lars, the older brother of Princess Sheila of the Metallicana Kingdom.
The baby was named Lucien Renlen and was placed in the care of the Great Priest. Since then, the Great Priest raised Lucien Renlen as his true son, alongside his daughter Yoko.
For 14 years, Lucien grew up with Yoko. Because of this, Lucien’s personality has become inferior to Yoko's, who often lectures him about the right things to do.
When the Great Priest teaches Yoko about a powerful spell to release Dark Schneider, the dark wizard reawakens once more!
Does Dark Schneider Die Again in Bastard?
Yes, Dark Schneider died in Bastard after removing his heart from his body in order to save Arshes Nei from the curse of the Accused.
The rest of the divine kings were furious with Dark Schneider after he defeated Gara and the three sorcerer generals. Worse, Dark Schneider pushed Gara and the others to betray the dark rebel army.
As a result, Empress Arshes Nei resolved to take matters into her own hands. Despite having had a close relationship with Dark Schneider for nearly 100 years, she vows to defeat and kill him for the sake of the Dark Rebel Army's honor.
However, Abigail, one of the four divine kings, suspected Arshes Nei of betraying the army. He believes that Arshes Nei will also fall victim to Dark Schneider given that she was his previous lover.
Arshes Nei voluntarily consents to his insurance in order to reassure Abigail of her loyalty. The wizard casts an accusatory spell on Arshes, threatening to turn her into a toad if she betrays him.
While fighting Dark Schneider, Arshes Nei can't help but think back on their time together. Even though she holds a grudge against him, Arshes can't help but succumb to her feelings for Dark Schneider.
Finally, Arshes Nei wishes to be held in Dark Schneider's arms, even if it means transforming into a toad. Dark Schneider, on the other hand, finally realized why Arshes continued to fight.
Is Dark Schneider Immortal?
In Bastard, Dark Schneider is immortal. He grows stronger every time he dies and reincarnates.
Dark Schneider has evolved into a different person after being sealed in Lucien Renlen's body for nearly 15 years. Aside from compassion, Dark Schneider had grown accustomed to his enemies becoming allies.
Dark Schneider would gladly murder anyone who tried to thwart his plans if it were 100 years ago.
