After a badly-reviewed third episode, The Acolyte has redeemed itself with the release of Episode 4, Day. It doesn’t just end with a major cliffhanger, with the Jedi coming face to face with a mysterious Sith, but it also drops several Easter eggs that make it more exciting.

Warning: Spoilers Ahead.

The Acolyte Episode 4 begins with Mae’s journey to Khofar to find Kelnacca, the next Jedi Master on her list to kill.

With the help of Qimir, she easily navigated the remote part of the jungle.

Little do they know that Master Sol and his team are also on the planet to stop Mae and save Kelnacca.

After a major turn of events, from Mae tricking Qimir into surrendering to Kelnacca to the surprising appearance of the Sith, the episode ends with a battle between the Jedi and the Sith.

Here are the five things you may have missed in The Acolyte Episode 4.

The Witch Mark

Surprisingly, Kelnacca’s home is filled with spiral patterns similar to the marks of the Witches of Brendok.

In the previous episode, Mother Aniseya’s coven of witches was officially introduced, and viewers learned that she created and raised the twin sisters Mae and Osha.

Kelnacca found it hard to move on from that fateful night that led to the destruction of the coven, Mae’s assumed death, and Osha's joining the Jedi.

The show has yet to reveal what really happened back then, so it may explain why Kelnacca went into exile.

The Splinter Order

While discussing the series of Jedi murders and Mae's role as the assassin, the council wonders who trained Mae.

As Mae herself doesn’t know who her master is, Vernestra Rwoh theorises that it could be a Splinter Order.

The term refers to Jedi who have left the Order to form their own group, typically defined by their devotion to the dark side. The Sith started as a Splinter Order of the Jedi Order before becoming a powerful force of the dark side.

As the concern over Splinter Order is raised when Sol confirms Mae’s dark training, this may mean that her master is from an entirely new group despite having a similar appearance to the Sith.

The Fall

In Vernestra and Sol’s confrontation, the former asks the Jedi Master about not telling her that there’s a chance for Mae to survive her fall 16 years ago.

“If I thought there was, of course I would have,” Sol says. “But I saw her fall. No one could’ve survived that.”

This isn’t the first time in Star Wars history that people have survived a massive fall. Darth Maul, General Palpatine, Luke Skywalker, and Boba Fett are big testament to this.

Is that Jedi Master Plo Kloon?

Sol brings a group of Jedi Knights with him to find Mae and save Kelnacca in Khofar.

One scene shows the group together, and a rare member of the Kel Dor species is seen with them.

The most famous Kel Dor Jedi in Star Wars is Master Plo Koon from the prequel trilogy.

He can be noticed wearing a breath mask that filters the air around him to match his home planet, Dorin.

However, it’s not yet confirmed whether this Kel Dor Jedi is Plo Koon or a different individual.

Ki-Adi-Mundi

Surprisingly, Cerean Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi appears in The Acolyte Episode 4. Nobody saw this coming, but it’s an exciting Easter egg to many.

Ki-Adi-Mundi is among the Jedi Masters who listen to Sol’s report about Mae and her mysterious master.

He’s known for being a member of the Jedi Council in the prequel movies and The Clone Wars. He’s also famous for claiming that the Sith have been extinct for millennia in The Phantom Menace.

So, with the big reveal of the Sith’s return in The Acolyte, fans are desperate to see what happens between the new Disney+ and the 1999 movie.

These are just five Easter eggs found in The Acolyte Episode 4. Do you have any additions to this list?
