How Much of Oshi no Ko Did the Anime Cover?
Doga Kobo’s Oshi no Ko Season 1 covered four story arcs of the manga.
The 90-minute first episode adapted the entirety of the Prologue Arc (Chapters 1–10), while the succeeding episodes covered the Show Business Arc (Chapters 11–20), the Dating Reality Show Arc (Chapters 21–32), and the First Concert Arc (Chapters 35–40).
All in all, the first season has already covered 40 chapters of the Oshi no Ko manga.
But don’t worry, for the manga is still ongoing as of writing, and there are no signs that it will be ending anytime soon.
The Prologue Arc introduced us to the legendary idol, Ai Hoshino, who met a tragic end at the hands of one of her ardent fans.
At such a young age, Ai gave birth to twins, namely Aqua and Ruby, without a father in sight.
Unbeknownst to Ai, her twins are both reincarnated. Ruby is actually Sarina Tendouji, a feeble young girl who died due to her sickness, while Aqua is actually Gorou Amemiya, Ai’s OB-GYN, who passed away after he was murdered.
In the Show Business Arc, the audience saw how Ruby and Aqua got admitted to Yoto High School in different programs.
Ruby enrolled in the Performing Arts Program, whereas Aqua enrolled in the General Education Program.
Coincidentally, Aqua’s co-child actor back in the day, Kana Arima, also attends the same school.
They both got reunited, and they even worked together in an online drama that generated a decent amount of viewers in the last episode.
On the other hand, Ruby signed an idol contract with Strawberry Productions in the hopes that she would become an idol like her late mother someday.
During the Dating Reality Show Arc, Aqua became involved with a reality dating show entitled Love Now, with the help of a producer named Masaya Kaburagi.
Here, Aqua gets to know the cast of the show, particularly Akane Kurokawa.
In a sudden turn of events, Akane turned suicidal due to the amount of online hate she received from the viewers of the show. Thankfully, Aqua was there to help her out and fix everything.
Eventually, Aqua becomes engrossed with Akane, as the latter was able to channel Ai perfectly.
They ended the reality show with a kiss, much to Kana’s disgust. At this point, both Kana and Akane have feelings for Aqua.
As this happened, Kana became an idol alongside Ruby. They also met Pieyon, a peculiar YouTuber who earns 100 million yen per year!
Lastly, the First Concert Arc paved the way for the newest idol group to launch!
After Mem-cho joined B-Komachi, the group was able to perform at the Japan Idol Festival!

Where to Read the Oshi no Ko Manga After the Anime
After finishing the anime, viewers can start reading the Oshi no Ko manga in Chapter 41 (Staff Meeting). This is the beginning of the Tokyo Blade Arc, also known as the 2.5D Stage Play Arc.
This is the story arc following the casting of Akane, Aqua, and Kana in the same theatrical show. Akane portrays Princess Saya, Aqua plays Touki, and Kana plays Tsurugi.
We were also made aware that Akane and Kana have fierce competition when it comes to acting. Ever since they were young, the two have gone head-to-head on accepting acting jobs.
While Kana was formerly known as the genius child actress, Akane is now known as the up-and-coming acting genius!
The theatrical play will set the stage for the competition between Akane and Kana. Not only do they compete in acting, but they also compete for Aqua’s affection!
