Marvel's Fantastic Four Casting Reportedly Still In Development

Apart from Deadpool and Wolverine joining the MCU ensemble in Deadpool 3, a Fantastic Four reboot is also already in the works to soon debut in the MCU pool. While there had been mixed reports and rumors in regards to frontrunning castings for titular roles for Marvel’s first family, a new report claims that Kevin Feige is still thoroughly reviewing cast members.

“Just to be clear, even if something is getting active or gearing up, [Fantastic Four casting] could still be weeks or even months before we have our four actors given how thorough [Marvel Studios] and [Kevin] Feige are.” Deadline’s Justin Kroll shared on Twitter.

Additionally, Kroll mentioned that while there are no names rumored to be frontrunners for each titular character, Sue Storm is of highest priority in building out the rest of the team.

MCU fans are in for a surprise to see how dedicated the studio and Marvel Studios President are in hiring the right actors for Marvel’s first family. After all, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania have already done their job of teasing their long overdue debut in the MCU.

Ever since John Krasinski got his wish of getting a role in the MCU, rumors have spread out interchangeably between not reprising his role any longer and being MCU’s official Reed Richards. However, the most recent report claimed that his John Krasinski is reportedly NOT MCU’s Richards (for now), which technically paves the way for the other frontrunning actors such as Dev Patel and Adam Driver.

Seeing as Sue Storm is of the highest priority, there are plenty of actors interested in getting the role, including Suicide Squad & The Last of Us star Storm Reid, and The Little Mermaid’s Halle Bailey. It’s hard to say who the studio is eyeing on to play the Invisible Woman, however, a previous report did state that they’re looking for a Dakota Johnson type to play the major role.

Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four reboot is currently scheduled for a February 16, 2024 release.
