Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2: Megumi Ogata Teases Yuta Okkotsu's Return

It has just been confirmed that Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is finally concluding its five-month theatrical run in Japan. However, that doesn't mean we've seen the last of Yuta Okkotsu. Voice actor Megumi Ogata has just teased on her character's return in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2!

The official Jujutsu Kaisen website has announced that the prequel film will end its Japanese theatrical run on May 29, 2022. In addition to that, the site shared a message from Megumi Ogata, who played Yuta Okkotsu in the prequel movie.

"It's been 5 months since the release—I heard that there are still many people who have come to visit us for a long run, and I'm full of surprises and indescribable gratitude. It's almost time to finish," Ogata said. She then added, "I am looking forward to seeing you again as Yuta Okkotsu."

It's an interesting tease since Jujutsu Kaisen 0 isn't getting a sequel. So what could Ogata's message possibly mean? It's obviously a tease at Yuta Okkotsu finally showing up in the main anime's second season.

We already know that Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will cover the story arc following the Death Painting arc that was adapted in the first season. This means we'll get to see the Gojo's Past arc followed by the Shibuya Incident arc.

Since Yuta doesn't show up in the manga until the Perfect Preparation arc, it might be a long wait before we see him in action in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. There are speculations that the second season will once again be split into two cours so there's a chance Yuta will appear in the last half of the upcoming season.

For now, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date. However, the anime is already confirmed to return in 2023. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
