It’s going to be a while before the anime’s third season, but fans are at least being treated to more content. Recently, the Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 soundtrack release date was announced, and with it came an idol lyric video based on Aoi Todo’s memorable scene.
As one of the most memorable scenes of the second season, the lyric video got lots of attention from fans as it let them relive what is possibly Todo’s best moment in the anime.

Aoi Todo Gets the Spotlight in Jujutsu Kaisen Lyric Video
Things were looking grim for Yuji Itadori as he faced Mahito. Thankfully, his “brother” Aoi Todo came in the nick of time to help him out.
Even with their combined strength, Mahito still proved to be incredibly tough to handle. With the two in dire straits, Todo gets a second wind as he ruthlessly attacks Mahito, all while an idol song plays.
This scene is one of the anime’s best moments. What makes it better is that it’s essentially an anime original as the manga’s version of the events did not have a full idol dance scene.

It may not feature new footage, but the Jujutsu Kaisen lyric video was more than enough to satisfy fans as it quickly racked up lots of views and reactions online.
What’s also interesting about the song is that it’s performed by the idol Takada-chan’s voice actress, Tomoyo Kurosawa. She is a popular VA known for voicing Mitsumi in Skip and Loafer.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Soundtrack Gets Official Release Date
This music video wasn’t released randomly though. It was shared to celebrate the upcoming release of the second season’s official soundtrack.
Previously, a soundtrack album for Jujutsu Kaisen was released, though it only featured songs from the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death Arc.
As for this new soundtrack release, it will likely feature the songs used in the Shibuya Incident Arc, completing the OST release for the show.
The Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 soundtrack will be released on January 24, 2024. Fans can expect the soundtrack to be available on streaming platforms such as Spotify on that day.
With the third season still in the works, fans at least have the manga to look forward to every week.
