Previously, even Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. had been speculated on their return to the franchise in spite of their contract ending. However, with this alleged plot reveal of Avengers: Secret Wars, it looks like we got our answer on how Cap and Stark will return.

For now, Marvel’s Phase Five begins this year starting off with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania where Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton) joins her father Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) with her family into the Quantum realm where they will first encounter the “new” Thanos of the universe, Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors).

In the latest new image from Ant-Man 3, we see Janet Van Dyne in the strange yet familiar territory in which she had been trapped there for decades before getting saved back in Ant-Man 2. Once again, however, Janet will have to strive to survive alongside her family being reeled into the realm, thanks to Cassie’s new invention, a Quantum Beacon.

Avengers: Secret Wars is currently scheduled to be released on May 1, 2026, while Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is slated to premiere on February 17, 2023.
