Any Marvel fan could openly admit that Avengers: Endgame remains to be one of the most exhilarating MCU films to exist, as we not only lost the ‘original’ heroes, but it had also opened up the floor to the ‘new’ Thanos in the MCU and that is Kang the Conqueror. While Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is expected to be released ahead of Avengers: Secret Wars, a new rumor emerges that Secret Wars will have a similar plotline with Avengers: Endgame.
Avengers: Secret Wars is already highly anticipated by many to come off with an outstanding promise of bringing new heroes together, such as the return of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in Deadpool 3 will reportedly lead him to team up with Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man. Now, according to insider Heavy Spoilers (via The Direct), the film is going to exhibit similar themes found in Endgame, except it’s not time travel but exploring the multiverse. Check out the tweet below:
Instead of traveling to key time points in the MCU (Endgame), the new heroes will be traveling to specific universes across the Marvel universe, which could easily bring in Fox’s X-Men actors and Sony’s Spider-Men Tobey Maguire and even Andrew Garfield. Although there is no news yet on Garfield reprising his role, since he already made a canon appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it is highly likely he will be able to join in the Avengers film.
