Lovers of the Red Sky episode 3 sees the Demon waking up inside Ha Ram's body. It took over the young man's consciousness and started roaming around Mount Inwang to find his eyes, which Sam Shin gave to Hong Cheon Gi when she was a child.
After having a fight with the Tiger Spirit, Sam Shin appears and was able to lock the Demon back inside Ha Ram's body. The two spiritual beings then left the two alone. When the time went back to normal, Hong Cheon Gi finds Ha Ram passed out and takes him to a safe place to look after him.
Back in the palace, the people went into a commotion when they found out that Ha Ram was missing. When the high officials ordered the guards to look for Ha Ram, a thrilling revelation shook them as the eunuch assigned to securing the young scholar's safety told them about the "freak" they saw from the mountain.
On the other hand, Ha Ram started to confuse his memories as they overlap with his interactions with Hong Cheon Gi. After all, Sam Shin says to the Tiger Spirit that Ha Ram and Hong Cheon Gi's relationship is an important factor to keep the world safe from the Demon.
