Based on the French sci-fi novel Le Transperceneige, Snowpiercer is the TV adaptation of the film of the same name. The Snowpiercer TV Series stays faithful to where it is based and takes the story of the frozen Earth where the last of the human race boards a train that never stops running and class warfare ensues following the social injustice within the trip.

The Earth was frozen to its core seven years after an attempt to cool off the world from global warming went too perfect that it left the whole world to an arctic tundra making what's left of humanity resort to living on a train that goes around the globe at high-speed.

Why not a bunker you might ask? The movement of the train is peculiarly helpful to keep everyone aboard the train alive by converting kinetic energy to power up the train and produce heat which is very much needed to sustain life as the Earth can surely freeze the remainder of life to death.

The last strand of human life resides in 1001 cars with more or less 130 cars dedicated to artificial greenhouses to grow food and provide sustenance to all passengers. Artificial light also replaced the sun to help the crops and plants grow.

However, not all those on the train receive the same treatment. The creator of the train, Wilford Industries, intended that the train would be all those who can afford to pay for their slot. Despite his goal to preserve mankind, humanity is lost to power and money.

Upon boarding the train, those who cannot afford to pay for their survival squeezed themselves to get on the train and since there are no stopovers on the train, they were just pushed back at the last coaches of the train where living conditions are dire.

They live off differently from those in the front coaches who are living lavishly, even having an entertainment space, a school for their kids, dining areas like restaurants, and the fancies of waking life. Those at the back coaches live in cramped spaces, trying to find whatever works for them to continue to live.

The obvious social injustice prompted a revolution for democracy and fair treatment.

The series is currently on its second season and there are no plans of stopping as the series is renewed for a third season already. Just like the first season, the second season will be having ten episodes in total.

Recently, all the titles for each episode have been released. The titles are The Time of Two Engines for the first, Smoulder to Life for the second, A Great Odyssey for the third, and A Single Trade for the fourth. To date, the last episode released was the fourth episode and the fifth episode Is expected next week.

The following episodes also have their working titles released as follows: Keep Hope Alive for Episode 5, Many Miles from Snowpiercer for Episode 6, Our Answer for Everything for Episode 7, The Eternal Engineer for Episode 8, The Show Must Go On for Episode 9, and Into the White for Episode 10.

All the episodes will be available on TNT via their cable network, website, and app. For the first season, it is also available to stream via TNT and HBO Max. Netflix also offers Snowpiercer's first season and is just waiting for the whole release of the second season before putting all the episodes in their roster of shows.

In an almost impossible quest to reclaim the Earth from being enslaved by ice, Snowpiercer Season 2 reveals more to life beyond the train.

Almost halfway through the second season, find out how Layton and Mr. Wilford would settle their differences for the betterment of the remainder of humanity or maybe not, so what will be next for the human race?

Snowpiercer Season 2 Episode 5 is slated for release on February 22, 2021, at 9 PM EST via TNT.
