Snowpiercer Renewed For Season 3 Ahead of Season 2 Premiere


TNT's TV show adaptation of Snowpiercer has been renewed for a third season ahead of its Season 2 premiere. Starring Daveed Diggs and Jennifer Connelly, Snowpiercer is a survival thriller is based on both the 2013 South Korean-Czech movie of the same title, directed by Parasite director Bong Joon-ho, and the 1984 French graphic novel Le Transperceneige, from which the film was adapted, by Jacques Lob.

On Tues, Jan. 19, TNT has confirmed that Snowpiercer has been renewed for Season 3, continuing the dystopian story about a small population of humanity inhabiting Mr. Wildford's 1001-car perpetually moving train that circles the frozen wasteland of the post-apocalyptic world.

The new trailer for Snowpiercer Season 2 debuted last week. You can watch it below:

Snowpiercer Season 2 will also star Sean Bean, Rowan Blanchard, Alison Wright, Iddo Goldberg, Mickey Summer, Lena Hall, Katie McGuinness, Annalise Basso, Roberto Urbina,  Sam Otto, Sheila Vand, and Steven Ogg. The show is executive produced by Graeme Manson, Matthew O'Connor, Ben Rosenblatt,Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, and Scott Derrickson. The 2013 Snowpiercer film producers Bong Joon Ho, Miky Lee, Jinnie Choi, Park Chan-wook, Lee Tae-hun, and Dooho Choi are also servering as exectutive producers for the TNT iteration of Snowpiercer.

Snowpiercer Season 2 is set to premiere on Jan. 25, at 9 p.m. EST on TNT. You can also check out where to watch the show in the U.S.
