From the start of the episode, it already shown what happened to Yelena when the blip occurred. It turns out that she was one of those who perished and what felt like five seconds to her was already five years, presumably what everybody felt when they got snapped back by the Hulk. It also deepens the reason of Natasha’s sacrifice to have people back – her sister, Yelena, was one of the casualties and she may have sacrificed herself so she could live the life she deserves.

Over some mac and cheese, Yelena and Kate had a serious one-on-one talk about who Hawkeye is. While Kate fought for the good in Clint, Yelena continues to counter her with what he did to the past. Still, Kate holds on to what she believes and had a moving speech that if Clint had heard, he could probably tear up. Yelena also pointed the fact that Natasha’s death was overlooked by many which is quite true. Plus, Yelena’s hilarious! “You only have one fork?”

After Kate tells her mother Eleanor about the things they found out about Jack Duquesne, immediately after that, Jack was being apprehended about being the CEO of the shell company, Sloan Ltd. He asserts that he is innocent and that he has been framed because the only Sloan he knew was a woman from one of his business trips. While Eleanor looks extremely concerned, the final revelation in the episode shows that Jack might really be framed or it is her behind everything.

The tone of the episode completely changed as Clint visited the marker of the Battle of New York where the first time the Avengers assembled was memorialized. He turned off his hearing aid and he talked to Natasha as if she was there. He told her that he misses her and that he is sorry for what he is about to do. It was a heartfelt monologue and Jeremy Renner clearly nailed it that the scene will send your tears down.

Upon sending a trick arrow with a message for Maya to come alone to the place where her father died, she didn’t as the Tracksuit mafia was all around her. Clint had to take them all out in a non-lethal way and faced Maya telling her the truth of his identity and that he was there the night her father died. However, it was the boss of Maya who wanted her father to be killed. Later, Kate saved Hawkeye and Maya faced Kazi who she doubted whether he was the informant of the one who killed her father.

Possibly affected as to who hired her as asked by Kate, Yelena goes out following Eleanor Bishop as she goes to a hotel. Being trained as a really good spy, Yelena was able to trace who hire her and it was a surprise when she informed Kate that it was her mother all along – Eleanor Bishop hired Yelena to kill Hawkeye and the biggest reveal of the episode was shown. The big boss is here and it is Kingpin!

The arrival of Vincent D’Onorio’s Wilson Fisk has been long rumored and now that it has been confirmed that he will be in the series, as the uncle of Maya, the fans could literally flip their tables in shock or excitement. Also, Hawkeye knows Kingpin, the big boss he pertains to. With Eleanor meeting with Fisk, Jack Duquesne might really be framed in the first place and it might be Eleanor who set everything up in the first place.

The finale of Hawkeye arrives next week so hold tight on your seats as it will definitely be massive. Episode 5 is now streaming on Disney Plus.
