Episode 5 of Hawkeye surely broke the internet with a lot of revelations throughout the episode and the penultimate run of the canon show set up the finale perfectly with everything that just happened which literally blew everyone’s minds. But of all, it’s the ending that surely made everyone gasp in awe. Here is what happened.
Hawkeye Episode 5 Ending Explained
In Hawkeye Episode 5, Ronin, things take a different turn and it started with Yelena’s story following Black Widow where she finds other widows and take them out of the control that was put on them by General Dreykov. She stumbled upon one of the widows, Ana, who was surprisingly not under control. When asked how Natasha is, Yelena excused herself and went to the bathroom.
There, she was turned into ashes then back again, after 5 years. She said she just lost 5 years in what felt like 5 seconds. After that, things shifted into the present and Yelena continues to search for Clint. She had a face-to-face with Kate as well over mac and cheese.
As for Kate, she already disclosed to her mom the connection of Jack Duquesne to the death of Armand III, the Tracksuit mafia, and the shell company, Sloan Ltd., and she asked her if she could look into it. The following day, there were cops apprehending Duquesne and he is claiming that he has been framed.

As for Hawkeye who crashed into the place of Grills for someplace to stay, he went back to being Ronin and introduced himself to Maya asking her to stop the search because people will just get hurt. Also, he mentioned some important facts to Maya that made her doubt what really happened to her father. When Hawkeye was cornered, Kate was there to save the day.
In the end, Clint and Kate are in the apartment of Grills, watching new tricks learned by the dog and Kate got a message, it’s from Yelena and she found out who hired her. Here comes the big surprise. Eleanor has some dirt under her shoe and the big boss, it’s Kingpin!
Clint knows of Kingpin, even telling his wife that he’s scared of what is to come if the big boss gets involved. Eleanor seems that there are some shady things going on with her and the photo Yelena sent to Kate is proof. Does this mean Yelena has been convinced by Kate that Clint is not a threat?
