The latest episode of the Swordsmith Village arc has just been dropped but we now have the key visual for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 Episode 9. In addition to that, the official title for next week's episode somehow pays tribute to another fan favorite.
Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 9 Key Visual Revealed
The anime's official Twitter account shared the key visual for Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 9 and not surprisingly, it once again puts the focus on Muichiro Tokito. In the new image, Muichiro still has his trademark blank expression. However, it also features his Demon Slayer Marks which initially appeared in the latest episode.
That's not the only awesome surprise in the update. The tweet also confirms the title for Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 9. Next week's episode is titled Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito ("Kasumi Bashira Tokito Muichiro").
It's an interesting title that pays tribute to a special episode from the second season. Season 2's first episode was an anime-only feature that put the focus on another Hashira. Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku focused fully on the Mugen Train arc character who became a true mentor to Tanjiro Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibira.
Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 9 will undoubtedly continue with the fight between Muichiro and Gyokko, who still believes he can easily defeat the boy. However, killing Muichiro might not be as easy as the Upper Rank thinks.
The latter part of Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 8 finally pit Muichiro against Gyokko who had been distracted with trying to break Haganezuka's concentration. The episode only showed the start of the fight between the two and there is little doubt that we'll get to see the real showdown next week.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 Episode 9 is titled Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito ("Kasumi Bashira Tokito Muichiro") and is expected to adapt the manga's Chapters 120 to 121. The episode will premiere on Sunday, June 4, 2023.
