The moment that fans have been waiting for is finally here. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 Episode 7 just unmasked Hotaru Haganezuka and people have feelings about the gorgeous face reveal.
In Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 7, Tanjiro Kamado almost manages to behead Hantengu's tiny form but is stopped when the Upper Rank's sixth form suddenly attacks. The sixth form hits a drum and causes a giant tree with dragon heads to attack Tanjiro who is narrowly saved by Nezuko.
As Tanjiro faces the sixth demon, he realizes that Hantengu's four emotions have vanished. Unbeknownst to Tanjiro, Genya Shinazugawa had witnessed how the anger demon Sekido forcibly absorbed the other three to achieve the new form.
The sixth demon criticizes the Demon Slayers, calling them "awful villains" for attacking the weakling Hantengu. In retaliation, Tanjiro vows to cut him down.
Meanwhile, Gyokko continues to watch Muichiro Tokito as he struggles to get out of the water prison. However, the Upper Rank decides to check on what is in the shed that Muichiro had wanted to protect. The demon finds Kozo Kanamori desperately trying to shield Hotaru Haganezuka who is in deep concentration restoring the ancient sword for Tanjiro.
Gyokko becomes interested in Haganezuka but fails to catch his attention. The demon slashes at the swordsmith but Haganezuka continues working despite his injuries and his mask falling apart. The enraged Gyokko becomes obsessed with breaking the man's concentration.
It's the awesome face reveal from Demon Slayer Chapter 117 and ufotable did not disappoint by finally showing Haganezuka's face. Needless to say, fans can't get enough of the unmasking.
The post-credits scene was also all about Haganezuka, showing how he trained to become a better swordsmith. Kotetsu also revealed that the knives Haganezuka carry with him (and used to attack Tanjiro) were his own creations that are so sharp that the swordsmith fears using them for cooking.
But will Haganezuka survive long enough to fend off Gyokko's attacks and restore the ancient sword for Tanjiro? The truth will be revealed in the next episode of Demon Slayer Season 3.
