There is little doubt that the main trio of young swordsmen in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba work so well with each other. Tanjiro Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibira have grown so much since they all met at the Tsuzumi Mansion and became close friends who work together to defeat powerful demons.

However, things could change in the highly anticipated Demon Slayer Season 3 as Tanjiro sets off without his friends. But will Zenitsu and Inosuke still play a major role in the Swordsmith Village arc next year? WATCH OUT, POSSIBLE DEMON SLAYER SEASON 3 SPOILERS AHEAD!

When we last saw them, it looks like the trio (and Nezuko Kamado) were inseparable. As the second season of the anime came to a close, Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke were all huddled together, relieved that they survived the dangerous encounter with the Upper Rank Six Daki and Gyutaro.

Considering that the three went through some major injuries, the boys will need to go through a lot of rehabilitation. But in the manga, Tanjiro encounters a major dilemma that will force him to leave the Butterfly Mansion and head for a new location.

In the manga, swordsmith Hotaru Haganezuka refuses to repair Tanjiro's sword after repeatedly having to fix and replace the boy's weapon. This is when Tanjiro decides to head for the Swordsmith Village to try and convince the swordsmith to change his mind.

The trip to the Swordsmith Village spans the entire story arc, far away from the Butterfly Mansion where Zenitsu and Inosuke are staying. Unfortunately, this means that Tanjiro will be without his two companions in Demon Slayer Season 3. Still, he has Nezuko to keep him company and help him face some scary new demons.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
