The latest episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 was truly awesome as the action continued. However, Yukaku-hen Episode 8 also featured a touching moment for fans who have been missing Kyojuro Rengoku. The Flame Hashira was somehow brought back in the second season's 15th episode despite his death in the Mugen Train arc!
In Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 15, Gyutaro continued to taunt Tengen Uzui, calling him the chosen one because of his good looks, three wives, and fighting skills. However, the Sound Hashira denies this, telling the demon siblings that they have not yet met the strongest fighters in Japan.
At this point, Uzui points out that he wasn't able to save several lives and claims that he will never be like Kyojuro Rengoku who famously saved all of the Mugen Train passengers.
Gyutaro isn't particularly concerned about this and admits that he is actually wondering why Uzui has not yet died from his wounds considering that the demon's blood sickles are poisoned.
This isn't the only time we see Kyojuro in Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 15. As Uzui proclaims that he and his younger companions will win the fight, Tanjiro envisions the Flame Hashira as Uzui speaks.
Perhaps the best moment in the latest episode comes in the post-credits scene where Uzui ponders how Kyojuro would fight because he could never be like the Flame Hashira. That's when Kyojuro appears to remind Uzui that his sword skills are excellent although he thinks the Sound Hashira has too many wives. He then tells Uzui that he is leaving Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke at Uzui's care.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Episode 16 is titled Defeating an Upper Rank Demon ("Jogen no Oni o Taoshitara") and takes inspiration from the manga's 88th chapter How to Defeat Them ("Taoshikata"). Yukaku-hen Episode 9 will air on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at 11:15 PM JST.
