Bocchi the Rock! was easily one of the biggest surprise hits of not only the Fall 2022 anime season but also of 2022 in general. It has proven to be popular enough that Houbunsha announced reprints of the Bocchi the Rock! manga volumes.
Recently, Houbunsha announced via its official channels that the six volumes of Bocchi the Rock! (including the anthology) will be reprinted in the largest number of copies yet.
Bocchi the Rock! Manga Volumes
Fall 2022 was one of the biggest anime seasons of the past year as it saw the return of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, as well as the premiere of Chainsaw Man.
On top of these, it also saw the second cour of Spy x Family, as well as the Mob Psycho 100 finale and the premiere of a new Gundam anime.
While there were many big shows during the season, it was Bocchi the Rock! that proved to be one of the best.
Aside from becoming a big hit in terms of views and discussions, the show was also one of the highest-rated of the season.
Bocchi became popular thanks to its loveable characters and incredible animation.
Though it’s a property that’s far from new as the anime is based on the manga of the same name by Aki Hamaji.
The Bocchi manga began way back in December 2017, and while it had a small yet dedicated following before, the manga’s popularity exploded following CloverWorks’ anime series.
Because of this, it’s no surprise that volume reprints are in order for the manga series.

Bocchi the Rock! Reprints
The reprints were announced via the Manga Time Kirara official Twitter account.
There, it was revealed that Volumes 1 to 5 of the manga will get substantial reprints along with the Bocchi the Rock! anthology volume.
Specifically, the announcement indicated that this reprint will be the largest print run of the volumes to date. This just goes to show how popular the series has become in Japan.
The Bocchi manga volume reprints will be released in Japan in early February 2023.
For fans outside Japan though, no English-language publisher has picked up the rights to the manga so far.
Because of this, it might be a while before we see an international English manga release for Bocchi the Rock!
It’s highly likely that it will get picked up though, especially since the anime is also popular globally.
