Attack on Titan is the anime that refuses to end. After stretching beyond two parts, it's confirmed that Part 3 will also have a unique delivery! Here's all you need to know about Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3’s release date, trailer, where to watch, movie and more.

What Will Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3 Cover from the Manga?

Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3 is expected to continue where Part 2 left off, with Eren’s Rumbling laying siege to Marley and what’s left of the resistance putting together a plan to defeat him.

It has been confirmed that Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3 will finally adapt to the end of the manga, concluding the series – at least as far as Isayama's manga is concerned.

A big part of the series’ finale is known as The Battle of Heaven and Earth.

This major event sees the remaining military resistance and our heroes from the end of Season 4 Part 2 converge on Fort Salta, a giant airship fortification that is known by Eren as a potential threat to his plans.

Without providing any spoilers, the events of The Battle of Heaven and Earth are as enormous as they sound. It’s a big and loud event befitting Attack on Titan’s conclusion!

Will Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3 be a Movie?

Yes and no. Given the announcement of Season 4 Part 3, it was widely assumed there would be no Attack on Titan movie. However, recent announcements have changed that.

Instead of following a simple episodic nature, it's been confirmed that Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 3 will begin with a 'special broadcast'.

This one-hour-long special will be the first half of Part 3. While nothing has been revealed concerning the second half, it's fair to assume that will also be a special, longer release.

If that's the case, Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 3 may be two separate hour-long specials.

While this doesn't really count as a movie, it may still give the series the blockbuster cinematic conclusion fans had hoped for.

Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3 Release Date

Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3 Release Date

Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3 will initially release on NHK General on March 3rd, 2023.

Part 3 will be released in two separate parts. A special broadcast, as explained above, will premiere at 24:25 on Friday, March 3rd (or 00:25 on Saturday, March 4th).

Following that, the rest of Part 3 will be released later in 2023. There has been no more information on when that might be, although we can expect it to be as part of a different anime season to the special broadcast.

Given that the majority of blockbuster anime avoid airing during the summer (July - September) season, Attack on Titan Part 3 will likely conclude either during the Spring season, starting in April, or during Fall, starting from October.

How Many Episodes Could Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3 Have?

Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3 Release Date Episodes

Based on the announcements so far, it looks like Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3 won't have a traditional episodic release. Instead, it appears we will get two extended special episodes.

While Part 3's release style is uncommon, some fans did predict a smaller season than normal due to the lack of source material left to adapt.

There are only around 9 chapters of the Attack on Titan manga to be adapted, across the final two volumes.

Stretching 9 chapters into a 12-episode series would be a remarkable feat considering most anime adaptations use 2-4 manga chapters per episode. In this case, creating two 1-hour specials instead of a 12-episode cour (which is over four hours of content) makes sense.
