Since WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, no other series was given another run for a second season and it would be the first time for a Disney Plus TV Show of Marvel to have one and this time, it would be Loki, and here is what to expect should there be Season 2 of the canon series of everyone's favorite trickster.
Will There Be Loki Season 2?
Yes. As confirmed in a few seconds of what may or may not be considered as a post-credits scene, the words "Loki will return in Season 2" has given so much joy especially to the fans who are extremely excited to have their questions answered and that pile just grew before the finale. With only six episodes, the time for Loki was really short to explain all the complexities that the show has.
Having another season means there would definitely be more of Loki and Sylvie, the Time Variance Authority, and the next big bad of Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, newcomer Jonathan Majors as Kang The Conqueror, or who Miss Minutes call as "He Who Remains."
Season 2 will surely be packed and it could focus on where Sylvie has taken Loki to – another timeline wherein Mobius never knew him, he was an analyst, and that Kang openly lords over the decisions that the TVA of that timeline is doing. In said time and place, the TVA also lets various timelines branch grow. If Loki and Sylvie might have gotten along with a common decision, this wouldn't have happened.
Kang also explained that even if he dies in the hand of either Loki variant, he would just end up back to where he started through different versions of himself from other existing timelines. Kang openly gave Loki and Sylvie the explanation as to why he created the TVA and while Loki saw the bigger picture, Sylvie remained faithful to her mission from the start: end the person behind the TVA.
What happens next is everybody's question with when it will return but as the show has been confirmed for season 2, things might make a sharp turn for sure even when there is no release date given yet, surely, it will involve more of the upcoming films such as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Loki finale is now streaming on Disney+.
