A colorful journey has been taken by Loki throughout his tenure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He was a villain who then became a hero to Asgard as he helped in Thor: Ragnarok, the God of Mischief faces yet another adventure in his very own canon series on Disney Plus as he faces his crimes before the Time Variance Authority. How many episodes will there be and when will it be released?
Loki has been in the MCU from the start since his debut in Thor as the frost giant Odin adopted from Jotunheim and he surely made a mark in Avengers when he brought the Chitauri attack in New York having the heroes assemble for the first time.
He has cheated death once in Thor 2 by faking it and he faced his demise in Avengers: Infinity War, but in Avengers: Endgame, he found another way to live once more: he escaped with the Tesseract while the Avengers are in pursuit of the stone. Because of this, the time stream has been messed with and the TVA surely isn't happy about it. Loki has to face this one, on his own.
How Many Episodes Will Loki Have?
Unlike WandaVision which was given 9 episodes, Loki will be following the footsteps of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier which only had 6 episodes. While these series were first termed as limited series, it has been hinted more than once that Loki will have an extended stay in the MCU as his series is rumored to have multiple seasons. Whether it would be seasoned with 6 episodes throughout, it is anyone's guess.
When Will Loki be Released on Disney Plus?
Loki will have 6 episodes releasing weekly which will start on June 9, 2021 at 3 AM. The plot of the story will be focusing on what happens to Loki after he escaped with the tesseract in 2012, and how time really works in the MCU with the introduction of the TVA as the guardian of time itself on top of what those in the Sanctum Santorium are doing with sorcerers protecting the time stone. Exciting, isn't it?
