Tokyo Revengers is on a roll right now. After confirming the Season 2 release date, the franchise has just announced a new spin-off manga that would focus on Tokyo Manji Gang founding member and first-division captain Keisuke Baji and his vice-captain Chifuyu Matsuno!
The official Tokyo Revengers manga Twitter account shared the announcement confirming the spin-off series titled Tokyo Revengers - A Letter from Keisuke Baji. The post also featured new character illustrations of Baji and Chifuyu Matsuno, who will also play a major role in the manga.
A Letter from Keisuke Baji will follow Baji and Chifuyu starting from their first meeting in middle school to their unfortunate parting, both of which have already been featured in the main manga and anime. Everything else in between will be explored in the spin-off which will be written by Yukinori Kawaguchi under Ken Wakui's supervision.
It's an awesome announcement considering that Baji and Chifuyu are fan-favorite characters in Tokyo Revengers but neither has appeared extensively in both the manga and anime. Needless to say, we'll be looking forward to A Letter from Keisuke Baji next month.
It was previously confirmed that Tokyo Revengers Season 2 will air in January 2023 and will feature new characters who will play a major role in the Christmas Showdown arc. Toman member Shiba Hakkai will be played by My Hero Academia's Tasuku Hatanaka while Black Dragons members Inui Seisyu and Kokonoi Hajime will be voiced by Jujutsu Kaisen star Junya Enoki and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba actor Natsuki Hanae, respectively.
In addition to that, Ken "Draken" Ryuguji has been recast with Masaya Fukunishi. The character was previously played by Tatsuhisa Suzuki.
The first chapter of Tokyo Revengers - A Letter from Keisuke Baji will be featured in Weekly Shonen Magazine Issue #35, which is set for release on July 27, 2022. The rest of the manga will then be serialized on the Magazine Pocket app.
