Tokyo Manji Gang is celebrating a major anniversary this month! June 19 is a special day for the biker gang in Tokyo Revengers and the franchise is going out of its way to celebrate. It has been confirmed that special Toman posters will be plastered all over Shibuya starting this week. In addition to that, a special live fan event will bring in the anime's voice actors.
Comic Natalie reports that special commemorative posters of Tokyo Manji Gang's founding members will be posted around Shibuya where they were originally formed. In addition to the founding members Manjiro "Mikey" Sano, Ken "Draken" Ryuguji, Takashi Mitsuya, Keisuke Baji, Kazutora Hanemiya, and Haruki "Pah-chin" Hayashida, Takemichi Hanamaki will get his own poster.
The posters are not the only cool things happening in Shibuya this week. Tokyo Revengers will also hold a special live event in Bellesalle Shibuya Garden which will be attended by the Toman voice actors Yuki Shin (Takemichi), Yuu Hayashi (Mikey), Masaaki Mizunaka (Baji), Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Mitsuya), and Shō Karino (Chifuyu).
But what can we expect at the special fan event? There is a possibility that we'll finally get an update on Tokyo Revengers Season 2. It has been a while since the second season was confirmed but there hasn't been a lot of news about the anime's return. For now, it's just hopeful speculation but fans are already looking forward to the special date.
In Ken Wakui's Tokyo Revengers, the Tokyo Manji Gang was formed on June 19, 2003, after Mikey saved Kazutora from the latter's childhood friends who would retaliate with the help of the Black Dragon gang. From there, Toman would become a notorious biker gang among delinquents.
The Tokyo Revengers posters will be displayed in stations in Shibuya from June 13 to June 19, 2022. The special fan event will be at the Bellesalle Shibuya Garden on June 19, 2022.
