Since it began serialization a few months ago, Kagurabachi has quickly become one of Shonen Jump’s most popular titles. Now, the series is finally getting its first international compilation as Kagurabachi volume 1 got release date window news in the US.

Details about the new volume were initially shared on the manga’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, as well as on Shueisha’s official website back in January.

Then on March 6, Viz Media confirmed the manga's English release window. As expected, the main character, Chihiro, takes center stage on the volume cover, which perfectly captures the series’ style.

Shonen Jump’s Kagurabachi Continues to Be a Big Hit

Kagurabachi began its run back in September 2023. Most new Shonen Jump titles take a while before becoming popular, but not this series. That’s because the first chapter became a huge trending topic online.

Instead of trending in Japan though, the series was a huge topic among international readers. The first chapter drew lots of responses, with some even saying that Kagurabachi is the inheritor of the Big 3.

It’s tough to fully understand why it became a huge trend. While there were lots of truthful positive responses, there were also a lot of ironic memes about its quality.

Even though the memes died down in the coming weeks and months, Kagurabachi has continued to be a popular title internationally.

On Manga Plus, the series consistently ranks high when it comes to readership. It even beats other popular titles like Dandadan, Kaiju No. 8, and Undead Unluck at times.

With its continuing popularity, chances are that many fans will be keen on getting a copy of its first volume.

Kagurabachi Volume 1 Gets Released in Japan

The first Kagurabachi volume was revealed by Shueisha in January, and it was then released on February 2, 2024, though only in Japan.

The volume’s cover art was also shared during its initial announcement. It features the main character, Chihiro Rokuhira, in the middle of a fight, showing off the manga’s style and striking color scheme.

Based on Viz Media’s Shonen Jump physical releases for titles like Blue Box, it was initially believed that it would take around a year before Kagurabachi volume 1 gets published in English.

Thankfully, that won't be the case, as its release is closer than many expected.

Kagurabachi Volume 1 English Release Window Announced

Viz Media announced yesterday that Kagurabachi volume 1 in English will be released sometime in the fall of 2024.

Also shared was its Japanese cover art. The English version cover art will likely look largely the same, albeit with an English title.

Currently, there's no word yet on an official release date for the volume.
