The reunion of former lovers happens in Thor: Love and Thunder and finally, everybody will now know the answer to who got dumped in the upcoming film as Chris Hemsworth teases that there will be a break-up flashback scene to uncover the truth of who called it off.
Natalie Portman reprises her role as Jane Foster in the upcoming movie, Thor: Love and Thunder where she is expected to surprise everyone as to how she became the Mighty Thor. Of course, it’s quite awkward for Thor considering that they broke up and it remains a question of who did the dumping between the two of them.
In a report from The Direct, according to the Spring 2022 issue of the D23 Magazine of Disney, Chris Hemsworth teased that the movie will be filling the gaps between Thor and Jane’s story, "There actually wasn't a whole lot of evidence to definitively say, 'This is how they broke up. This is what happened.'”
Hemsworth added that the scene will be one of the funniest, definitely something to look out for, “It was left open for interpretation, which was great because it allowed us to go on this fun journey; 'What did their relationship look like when they were together? What did it look like when they were breaking up? Why did they break up?' It's some of the funniest stuff in the film."

Thor: Love and Thunder is expected to delve into the world of the gods, a possible alternate reality or another realm yet to be introduced in the franchise. The villain, Gorr the God Butcher, is much-awaited and with his arrival coming near, so does the entrance of the Greek gods in the narrative.
The fourth film of the God of Thunder also marks the beginning of Jane Foster's journey as the Mighty Thor where she would wield the reforged Mjolnir. Her return to the film sparks a question on whether she would be replacing Thor in the future of the MCU.
Thor: Love and Thunder premieres in theaters on July 8, 2022.
