In the season finale ofThe Falcon and The Winter Soldier, One Word, One People, as soon as you see the credits start rolling, don't leave yet or turn off your television as the finale has one mid-credits scene where we see the promise of Sam to Sharon taking effect as she comes back to the US and faces the US Intelligence Community for her pardon.

The senator heading the committee offers Sharon and her family apologies for treating her as a fugitive and the name "Carter," as established from her aunt Peggy, was equated to service and trust. The senator stated that they would begin to make things right and repay the debt the government has owed to Sharon for the years she was on the run.

The US Intelligence Committee offered Sharon a full pardon and a possible opening in her old division so she could have her job back. The declaration of her pardon ended with the words, "Welcome home, Agent Carter."

Just when we thought it was a victory to see Carter back on track, she calls someone and tells that person to line up the buyers and though the super soldiers are out of the choices, she would now have full access to the secrets of the governments, prototype of the weapons in storage, and basically something for everyone.

What Does This Mean for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and in the MCU?

It seems that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has chosen Sharon to join the dark side and move to the side of the baddies, although it is under the table, as in the same episode, it was revealed that Sharon is the Power Broker. Before anyone could let her secret out, she kills Batroc who spied the Flag Smashers for her, and ended up killing Karli as well when she pointed a gun to Sam.

In the comics, the Power Broker is a villain who helps other villains by contracting the bad guys to do the dirty work, by selling various weapons, and by being of aid to the cause of literally anyone who can afford to pay.

By putting Sharon as the Power Broker, one of the previous heroes shifts to the other side of the coin and possibly setting up another villain for Phase Four of the MCU. Given that Sharon used to be on the side of Steve Rogers fighting for justice like how she stood up for S.H.I.E.L.D. when Hydra infiltrated it, but it seems that her years on the run has changed her perspective and swayed her to be the Power Broker.

Being the judge, jury, and executioner of Madripoor as Zemo described, the Power Broker holds a lot of connections and weapons she could sell through the black market, and with Sharon being reinstated to her old office, she would now have access to various products that only the government has access to. A mole in the US Intelligence, what a comeback, Sharon.

Though we see her help our heroes Sam, the new Captain America, and Bucky, her being the Power Broker would definitely cause them to meet again but maybe in such time, they would be fighting opposite against each other.

Welcome home, Agent Carter. Welcome to the villainous side.

Expect to see the return of Sharon, the Power Broker, somewhere in the future projects lined up in the MCU, maybe if The Falcon and The Winter Soldier would have a second season, we'll see more of her.
