Warning: if you haven't seen the finale episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, this article contains major spoilers so read at your own risk! It's no secret that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier revolves around Sam Wilson's journey to becoming the next Captain America after Steve Rogers passed on the role to him but it wasn't an easy task for the Falcon. First off, Wilson made it clear from the get-go that he's having second doubts about taking on the star-spangled mantle which is why he initially turned the shield over back to the U.S. government who would later appoint a patriotic hero of their own.

But as the series progressed, Wilson would slowly realize that there's a reason why he was handpicked by Rogers to continue the legacy of Captain America and in Episode 5, the former Falcon finally decided to embrace his fate and take on the responsibility that was always meant to be his.

Episode 6, titled "One World, One People" starts off with a bang as we finally get to see Sam don his Captain America costume complete with new mechanical wings and an updated version of Redwing which came straight of out Wakanda. The episode revolves around their mission to foil the plans of the Flag Smashers who kidnapped several members of the cabinet including the Senator.

Unsurprisingly, there were people who showed resentment of him being Captain America but after saving the hostages, Sam quickly turned heads and gained a lot of believers proving that it's time for a Black Captain America to take over. He would even deliver a moving speech on live television seen all across the globe about his renewed responsibility and it's clear that he's ready for the role.

Besides the action, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's finale was an emotional episode and I gotta say, I'm so thrilled to see Sam finally fulfill his destiny and I know for sure that things will only pick up from there.
