There's no stopping The Falcon and The Winter Soldier as it nears the end of the season in Episode 6 so set your countdown for the finale with the release date and time with everything you need to know to be well equipped for the upcoming episode including a previous episode recap, theories, spoilers, leaks, and all that there is for the canon series.
Without a doubt, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier shakes up the Marvel Cinematic Universe with everything that has happened since the inception of the series. It introduced new players in the game with a new Captain America of John Walker and his partner, Battlestar Lemar Hoskins, the Flag Smashers going for one world, one people, Isaiah Bradley, a super-soldier forgotten by history, and Joaquin Torres.
It also had its share of recurring characters with Sharon Carter in Madripoor, Baron Zemo being a helpful tour guide as they call him, the Dora Milaje pursuing Zemo, and even Batroc the Leaper appearing on the series.
The game surely changes as the world comes back and tries to recover from the blip. We also get to see a more human side to our titular characters with Bucky still suffering from a post-traumatic stress disorder and with Sam facing a financial struggle that his sister confides in him to sell their history, the boat they grew up in.

What happened in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Episode 5?
In The Falcon and The Winter SoldierEpisode 5, Truth, bears a title hitting close to home as Sam and Bucky both embrace their truths and goes on to the path they are supposed to take, even with Walker having to face his truth of losing the title of Captain America and Zemo having his truth being taken by the Dora Milaje, plus the wisdom of truth from Isaiah to Sam.
Episode 5 picks up where it left in Episode 4 where Walker runs away after killing a flag smasher. He ended up on an abandoned train station where he was followed by Sam and Bucky that ended in a fight between the three while taking the bloody shield. Sam's wings may have been torn down by Walker in the process but in the end, Sam gets the shield with the help of Bucky.
Meanwhile, the followers of the Flag Smashers were apprehended with Karli nowhere to be found. Sam meets with Torres to discuss what happened with Walker and discussing the steps they could take in finding Karli. Sam ended up leaving the wings to Torres, a bizarrely wise guy, saying he "keep them" seemingly hinting at his takeover as the new Falcon.
Walker comes back and he has been stripped off of the title of Captain America. Despite his attempts to explain, the senator who gave him the authority as Captain America took the same away from him. Walker explodes saying how they made him and yet, he was given an honorable discharge, removing him from the ranks and taking away all the benefits. He was firm saying "I am Captain America."
The surprise character arrives declaring her boots aren't made for walking. (A real great entrance, by the way, and a nice callback to Nancy Sinatra's song) While Walker and his wife are talking, Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine arrives introducing herself, even saying she could be called just "Val" but keep it in your head. (Dem hoops and heels don't lie, girl, you slay!)
She says that Walker is right with his actions and that taking the serum is the "second best choice he ever made in his life" next to marrying his "firecracker of a wife," and next to picking up when she calls him. She also shared that the shield doesn't belong to the government per se and that it is in a legal gray area.
Bucky found Zemo on the memorial of Sokovia and Zemo declares he is not going to kill him and revealed that he programmed Bucky to kill. Despite Bucky holding a gun to his head, Zemo seems to have accepted his truth only to realize the gun has no bullets. The Dora Milaje appears and takes Zemo who parted with Bucky saying he stricken off his books saying he holds no grudges against him. (Seriously, Zemo, that's sweet.)
Ayo and Bucky converse that Zemo will be taken to the Raft and Ayo says that the White Wolf could be needed in Wakanda some other time. Bucky asks for a favor – one we see later in the episode.
Meanwhile, Sam goes to Isaiah bringing the shield seeking some enlightenment on what went wrong. Isaiah declares that being black has hardships. Isaiah, later on, reveals the death of his wife he never got the chance to be with again and how they were experimented on with something they didn't know, and the story of how he busted out his friends captured.
Isaiah continued the story on how 30 years, he was experimented on, until a nurse took pity on her and declared him dead, even giving him the letters that his wife wrote him. He said he's already a dead man walking, his truth of being erased in history. He said, "they will never let a Black man be Captain America." (His words would make you cry, guys, have some tissues with you.)
Sam comes home to his family and learned from his nephews that Sarah would not sell the boat. Sam fixes the boat and to his surprise, Bucky is there with a present, one he presumably asked the Wakandans as a favor. Both of them bonded over fixing the boat and in a hilarious exchange, Sam warns Bucky not to flirt with his sister. (Sorry, Sam, he's irresistible.) Sam offered Bucky to stay with them.
On the other hand, Walker went to the parents of Lemar to pay his respects. Lemar's mother shared how Lemar was so proud of Walker and to be his partner. While walking on the streets, he saw his poster as Captain America and lingered on it.
On the other side of the world in Madripoor, Sharon seems to be cooking something in her sleeves talking to Batroc saying she has a job for him that she would pay double and he wouldn't regret saying yes to her offer.
Back in Sam's home, Bucky and Sam had a heart-to-heart talk on how they would be facing their truths and the legacy of the shield being a complicated one. Bucky apologizes to Sam and how the shield is the closest he has left of a family making him ask about what's left of him, and Sam, in turn, gives a truth bomb saying Steve is gone, and that Bucky has to stop letting people tell him who he is.
"Do the work," Sam said and he wasn't amending, he is avenging. Sam talks about closure and how only Bucky could give it to a person on the list, that he could start with one. They are partners now, co-workers, "a couple of guys with a mutual friend who's already gone." Sam returns to his sister, Sarah, who tells him he fights both battles, and he proceeds to train himself to be the new Captain America.
In New York, Karli and the Flag Smashers meet with Batroc the Leaper where they would disrupt the vote of the GRC on the Patch Act which would take home the refugees or internationally displaced people back to where they originated before the blip. Sam receives a call from Torres saying that the Flag Smashers are in New York.
The episode ends with Sam opening the Wakandan box from Bucky.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Episode 5 Post-Credits Scene
Just before the whole episode ends, a mid-credits scene is squeezed in between the credits where it shows Walker forging his very own shield. The words of Val may have planted the idea in his head that the shield is just a shield, it's the person who carries it, making him decide to make his own.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Episode 6 Theories
Now that the penultimate episode arrived, some questions have already been given answers in another episode of a perfect mixture of drama and action, every moment either a heartfelt one or an exciting action scene.
The theories of Sharon Carter being the Power Broker gets stronger with the phone call that Sharon gave to Batroc, seemingly helping Karli and the Flag Smashers with their cause to fight GRC. With the identity of the Power Broker yet to be revealed, we could only theorize and guess who he or she might really be as another candidate on who can be the Power Broker arrives.
The surprise character of Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine shakes the world with the tone of her heels hitting the ground and her conversation with Walker bearing weight. Her character, reportedly, was set to be seen first in Black Widow, however, the schedule was pushed back and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier came out first. What storm could she be bringing into the MCU?
With the Flag Smashers succeeding, it poses a threat to the GRC and the world now that they are working with Batroc the Leaper who is seemingly under the control of Sharon Carter. Another threat is that Walker is loose, a super-soldier who gets violent with an emotional breakdown. How will Sam, who now embraced his path of being the new Captain America, and Bucky handle this?
And now that Zemo is in Wakanda and Ayo saying that the White Wolf could use some time there, would Bucky now be embracing his new way as the White Wolf? Given the advice of Sam, Bucky may be apologizing to Mr. Nakajima and finally give closure to the death of his son.
Are you ready for another game-changing finale?
