Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill became the ultimate bop in mid-2022 following the release of Stranger Things Season 4 as the said song is the one used by Max to help her get away from Vecna's curse through playing it on a constant loop.

In Stranger Things Season 4, the Hawkins gang found out from Victor Creel about how he escaped Vecna -- with a song. They applied the same to Max who is literally on the verge of her death, being taken by Vecna.

While Max survived her demise through the help of Eleven, she is currently in a comatose, and Vecna's plans pushed through as the villain pierced through Hawkins, thus, the Upside Down is now slipping into the real world.

In the finale of Stranger Things Season 4, Eleven tried to reconnect to Max but to no avail, seeing only darkness, hinting of what the fate of Max really is. While it is sure that everyone hasn't seen the last of Max, the mystery of where she is could hopefully be answered when Season 5 arrives.

Listen to Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill on Spotify and on Stranger Things Season 4, now streaming on Netflix.
