Star Wars: Cassian Andor Series Set Photos Tease on Mysterious New Planet

Things are getting truly interesting for the Cassian Andor series. New photos that were taken from the set of the upcoming Disney+ show possibly confirm that we'll be seeing a mysterious new planet in the Star Wars Universe.

The Andor set photos were shared by Bespin Bulletin and it features a green screen being put up. Considering the size of the set, it is believed that the show will be set on a new planet. Check it out here.

So what is this mysterious new planet? There are speculations it could be Cassian's homeworld and might be part of the character's origin story. This means that Andor could reveal how Cassian ended up joining the Rebellion in the first place.

The possibility of Andor focusing on Cassian's early years could also explain why Alan Tudyk will not be a part of the show's first season. After all, Cassian only met K-2SO when he was already a part of the Rebellion. This could verify Tudyk's claims about joining the series in its second season.

It was previously reported that Tudyk confirmed he would eventually be joining Andor in its later episodes. This led to speculations that the Resident Alien star will only be part of the cast in the second season.

"I am coming back at some point," Tudyk confirmed. "I was there at the first announcement at D23 and, at that point, the story hadn't been formalized yet, so now that it has been formalized, even though I was announced at the beginning, and every announcement I saw had me involved, I am not involved currently."

Andor has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
