There is little doubt that fans are disappointed now that Alan Tudyk has confirmed he isn't working on the Cassian Andor series. However, the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story actor has just teased on K-2SO's return in the future episodes of the Disney+ show's second season.
Tudyk had previously stated that he will not appear in the first season ofAndor although he was part of the announcement of the upcoming Star Wars series. The news was a sad one for fans but it looks like there is still a chance that Kay-Too will eventually make an appearance in the second season of the show.
"I am coming back at some point," Tudyk confirmed. "I was there at the first announcement at D23 and, at that point, the story hadn't been formalized yet, so now that it has been formalized, even though I was announced at the beginning, and every announcement I saw had me involved, I am not involved currently."
Tudyk continued by stating that he "will be involved at some…later date." He then added that K-2SO will "be back at some point and I'll look forward to it."
Not surprisingly, fans began speculating that Tudyk is set to reprise his role in Andor Season 2 although the first season hasn't even completed production. This is certainly an exciting possibility since it would confirm that the Rogue One spin-off isn't a limited series.
For now, Disney and Lucasfilm have not yet confirmed Andor for a second season. Nevertheless, we are looking forward to an announcement about the upcoming series. In the meantime, Tudyk appears in the sci-fi show Resident Alien.
Andor will star Diego Luna as Cassian Andor. The series has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
