It's no secret that Spy x Family is one of the biggest anime shows out right now and people have fallen in love with little Anya Forger. The charismatic young telepath has since been imagined crossing over to other shows, most notably in a hilarious fan-made art that features Anya looking down at the houses over Wall Maria in Attack on Titan. However, fans are taking it even further by inserting Anya into iconic manga panels and the results are amazing.
Several Twitter users have started a meme that goes, "This manga panel goes hard..." along with a panel that adds Anya Forger facing off against a protagonist (or sometimes an antagonist).
It is unclear who started the meme and which panel was the first one shared on Twitter. However, it has turned into a trend and people are inserting Anya into Attack on Titan, Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece, Chainsaw Man, and Naruto. The latest one I found has Anya preparing to fight alongside Tanjiro Kamado and Giyu Tomioka in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
Some people are claiming that the Anya panels aren't exactly funny but they do display the creativity of manga readers and anime fans. With that in mind, this might not be the last Anya Forger trend we'll see as Spy x Family continues to deliver new anime episodes.
Spy x Family has just dropped Episode 7 where fans got to see Anya through the eyes of Damian Desmond. Although the boy has stated that he doesn't want to be friends with the girl, it is clear that he is smitten with Anya as his point of view is revealed to be similar to a shojo protagonist (the boy is hopeless, sigh).
Spy x Family Episode 8 is titled The Counter-Secret Police Cover Operation ("Taihimitsu Keisatsu Gisō Sakusen") and will premiere on Saturday, May 28, 2022.
