Prince Harry was very close to his grandfather, Prince Philip. So, when the Duke of Edinburgh passed away, it wasn’t really a shock that the Duke of Sussex travelled from the United States to England to pay his final respects. During the outing, it was obvious that there were tensions between Prince Harry and Prince William because the brothers barely looked at each other the whole time.
Princess Anne, Sophie, Countess Of Wessex Made Prince Harry Feel Unwelcomed
But according to royal expert Katie Nicholl, there were two other members of the royal family that did not make Prince Harry feel welcome: Sophie, Countess of Wessex, and Princess Anne, who were both very close to Prince Philip as well.
Certain family members, Princess Anne, for example, and Sophie Wessex, who is incredibly close to the queen, were not overly welcoming to Harry. In fact, I was told that Harry went back to America feeling even more ostracized from his family,” she said (via Express).

Meghan Markle Didn’t Accompany Prince Harry To Prince Philip’s Funeral Service
Nicholl also revealed that even though Meghan Markle skipped Prince Philip’s funeral, she watched the event unfold from her television screen back home in Montecito.
“Meghan had always liked Philip. And Meghan had actually sent a note with a beautiful flower arrangement, which included some of Philip’s favorite blooms, to be displayed on the green at Windsor Castle,” she said.
Princess Anne Saw Right Through Meghan Markle From A Mile Away
Meanwhile, psychic medium Deborah Davies previously claimed that Princess Anne could see right through Markle.
“Princess Anne is fabulous, she just gives everything that she thinks away on her face. She doesn’t need to say anything, you can see it in her eyes. You take one look at her and you can see what she’s thinking, she’s totally transparent,” Princess Anne is just like her dad was. Prince Philip could see straight through Meghan Markle. He could see her for what she is and so could I, on their wedding day I just sat there shaking my head. I stood there saying ‘This is a complete and utter disaster waiting to happen,’” she told Daily Star.
Royal author Lady Colin Campbell echoed Davies’ sentiments. She said that while Markle was able to charm some of Prince Harry’s relatives, she did not succeed in trying to warm up to Princess Anne.
“Princess Anne was the champion in terms of ‘don’t marry that girl, she is unsuitable. She is wrong for us, she is wrong for the country, and she is wrong for the job. It just absolutely turned Princess Anne off because she couldn’t stand Meghan’s constant ‘uh, uh, me, me me, me,’” Campbell told Mirror UK.
