To further drum up hype for the movie’s theatrical release, two new One Piece Film: Red posters were revealed, both of which show off Luffy’s new pirate outfit.
The new posters for the film were spotted and uploaded by New World Arthur on Twitter.
While there are already lots of promo materials for the movie, these two new visuals feature a much closer look at both Luffy and the rest of the main cast.
First up, we have a visual featuring Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat crew:
Here, you’ll get a clear look at Luffy’s new look which consists of a big pirate hat, a large leather jacket with studs, a white tee with a skull-and-bones design, and red shorts. Completing Luffy’s look is a sword along with other accessories.
The rest of the Straw Hat Pirates also wear similarly styled outfits, with most of the crew wearing a variation of Luffy’s studded jacket.
Meanwhile, here’s a look at the second poster:
While the first visual features the whole crew, this second poster only features three characters: Luffy, Uta, and Shanks. Luffy is once again wearing his new pirate outfit, though here, you can see the details more clearly.
Uta meanwhile, looks on happily while wearing her stage outfit with wings, while Shanks is in his typical attire complete with a serious gaze.
As the film centers on these characters, it’s no surprise that One Piece Film: Red released the two promo posters.
One Piece Film: Red is the next movie in Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece series, and it will release in Japanese cinemas on August 6, 2022.
The film follows Luffy and the Straw Hat Crew as they attend the concert of Uta, the world’s most famous singer. But the crew are in for a surprise as Luffy reveals that Uta is Red-Haired Shanks’ daughter.
The new One Piece movie will release in cinemas outside Japan in Fall 2022, including the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, and more.
