Luffy and the Straw Hats are getting together in a new music-filled extravaganza, One Piece Film: Red, and once more, Toei Animation will be collaborating with Crunchyroll for the worldwide release of the movie this coming fall 2022.
Crunchyroll drops a new announcement for the new film for the the original manga series of Eiichiro Oda, One Piece: Red and it will be arriving later this year, in fall, to US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand on the streaming platform.
One Piece: Red will follow the story of Uta, the world's most beloved singer given her mysterious identity and her voice sounding "otherworldly." In a live concert, Uta will be making a reveal of her true identity. As every fan of Uta fills the place, including Luffy and the Straw Hats, everyone is shocked to learn that she is the daughter of Shanks.
Eiichiro Oda remains hands-on as the executive producer of One Piece: Red with Goro Taniguchi as the director, and Tsutomi Kuroiwa as the writer.

One: Piece Red will be at the front and center of the Anime Expo 2022 happening on July 1-4 where the celebration of the film will have two-time Grammy nominee Steve Aoki. The movie will also have a special panel in the event with producer Shinji Shimizu, ADR director Anthony Bowling, and English dub actors Brandon Potter and Ian Sinclair.
One Piece is a Japanese manga series by Eiichiro Oda. It was first released in July 1997 and it is currently published on Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump, and on Viz Media. It follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates as they look for the fabled treasure known as the “One Piece” which would give Luffy the title of the King of the Pirates.
One Piece: Red is expected for a release in Japan on August 6, 2022. It will arrive in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand this fall via Crunchyroll.
