We've been getting a lot of awesome new updates on One Piece Film: Red and the latest one is all about the Red-Haired Pirates! A new teaser shares Eiichiro Oda's character design for the pirates. In addition to that, the new cast members for the highly anticipated movie have been revealed!
The new teaser was shared by the official One Piece Film: Red Twitter account and it introduces the Red-Haired Pirates crew starting with Red-Haired Shanks. Each crew member is introduced through a character sketch by Eiichiro Oda. Check it out below.
The voice actors playing the Red-Haired Pirates were also announced. It was confirmed that Shuichi Ikeda, Aruno Tahara, Jin Domon, Michitaka Kobayashi, and Shiro Saito would return as Shanks, Ben Beckman, Lucky Roux, Yassop, and Rockstar, respectively.
They will be joined by Kenichi Ono as Lime Juice, Kotaro Nakamura as Bonk Punch, Bin Shimada as Monster, Issei Futamata as Building Snake, Hikaru Midorikawa as Hongou, and Jouji Nakata as Howling Gabu.
Some of the new characters have already been featured in the latest trailer for One Piece Film: Red. However, it is great to see that the Red Hair Pirates are getting their own official introduction ahead of the film's premiere.
The film will also star Mayumi Tanaka as Monkey D. Luffy, Kazuya Nakai as Roronoa Zoro, Akemi Okamura as Nami, Kappei Yamaguchi as Usopp, Hiroaki Hirata as Sanji, Ikue Otani as Chopper, Yuriko Yamaguchi as Nico Robin, Kazuki Yao as Franky, Cho as Brook, and Katsuhisa Hoki as Jimbei. It was previously confirmed that Kaori Nazuka and Kenjiro Tsuda will join the cast as Uta and Gordon, respectively.
One Piece Film: Red will be released in theaters in Japan on August 6, 2022. The international release dates have not yet been announced. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
