One Piece Film: RED Drops New Luffy Poster


One Piece Film: RED is one of the most highly anticipated films this year but there is still a lot we don't know about the project. Although we don't have all the details, the franchise decided to share an awesome update on the anime movie. The new poster for the film finally gives us the first official look at Monkey D. Luffy in the movie!

Luffy's new look was previously teased in the character sketches for One Piece Film: RED that was shared prior to the franchise's news livestream last Monday and fans have been wondering when the colored version will be revealed. Luckily, the new poster for the movie shows us Luffy in his full swashbuckling look. Check it out below.

We're loving this new look on Luffy and it's great to finally see how the character will look like in One Piece Film: RED. Hopefully, we'll be getting more new updates and details about the project before its August premiere.

The previous poster for the movie featured the mysterious new female character who will be introduced in the One Piece film. Although her name has not yet been revealed, her poster somehow pokes fun at Luffy.

One Piece Film: RED will be directed by Goro Taniguchi while Tsutomu Kuroiwa wrote the screenplay. Eiichiro Oda himself serves as executive producer on the movie.

The film will star Mayumi Tanaka as Monkey D. Luffy, Kazuya Nakai as Roronoa Zoro, Akemi Okamura as Nami, Kappei Yamaguchi as Usopp, Hiroaki Hirata as Sanji, Ikue Otani as Chopper, Yuriko Yamaguchi as Nico Robin, Kazuki Yao as Franky, Cho as Brook, Katsuhisa Hoki as Jimbei, and Shuichi Ikeda as Red-Haired Shanks. The voice actor for the new character has not yet been revealed.

One Piece Film: RED will be released in theaters in Japan on August 6, 2022. The international release dates have not yet been announced.
