One Piece Film: Red Trailer Reveals New Theme Performed by Uta


A new trailer for One Piece Film: Red has just been dropped and it finally reveals the connection between Luffy and the new character Uta. In addition to that, the teaser previews a new theme performed by Uta herself!

The new One Piece Film: Red trailer opens with Uta being introduced as the "World's Greatest Diva" and she has a noble cause: She wants to build a new era of happiness for everyone with her music. Everyone is enthralled by the singer but Monkey D. Luffy boldly steps up to greet her and amazingly, she recognizes him right away!

Not surprisingly, the rest of the Straw Hats Crew are shocked that Luffy knows Uta. Jimbe and Chopper demand to know the truth and Luffy casually confirms that Uta is Shanks' daughter, much to the surprise of the people attending her concert.

It's great to finally get new details about One Piece Film: Red but the trailer is even more awesome for giving viewers a preview of the new theme New Genesis performed by Uta, whose singing voice is performed by Japanese musician Ado. The movie will also feature six other themes performed by Yasutaka Nakata, Mrs. GREENAPPLE, Vaundy, FAKETYPE., Hiroyuki Sawano, Yuta Orisaka, and Motohiro Hata.

One Piece Film: Red will be directed by Goro Taniguchi while Tsutomu Kuroiwa wrote the screenplay. Eiichiro Oda himself serves as executive producer on the movie.

The film will star Mayumi Tanaka as Monkey D. Luffy, Kazuya Nakai as Roronoa Zoro, Akemi Okamura as Nami, Kappei Yamaguchi as Usopp, Hiroaki Hirata as Sanji, Ikue Otani as Chopper, Yuriko Yamaguchi as Nico Robin, Kazuki Yao as Franky, Cho as Brook, Katsuhisa Hoki as Jimbei, and Shuichi Ikeda as Red-Haired Shanks.

One Piece Film: Red will be released in theaters in Japan on August 6, 2022. The international release dates have not yet been announced.
