It has already been confirmed that One Piece is taking a month-long hiatus in preparation for the franchise's 25th anniversary and to make way for promotions for the upcoming feature One Piece Film: Red. But what will happen when the manga returns in July? We'll be facing the final arc next month and Eiichiro Oda has unveiled a new illustration to hype fans up.

The new illustration was shared by the official One Piece Twitter account. The post confirms that the manga will resume serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #34 and will immediately start the final arc. Check out Eiichiro Oda's new illustration below.

It's an interesting glimpse at what to expect when One Piece returns late next month. Hopefully, we'll get new updates on the manga despite the upcoming hiatus.

It was previously reported that One Piece will take a break from June 27 to July 25, 2022. The hiatus will give Eiichiro Oda time to prepare for the franchise's 25th anniversary this year. In addition to that, the main manga is expected to make way for promotions for One Piece Film: Red, the 15th movie of the anime franchise.

One Piece Film: Red has just shared several updates ahead of its August premiere. In addition to the new trailer, it was revealed that Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection stars Kaori Nazuka and Kenjiro Tsuda are joining the cast as Uta and Gordon, respectively. The two voice actors will be reunited with Lelouch of the Re;surrection director Goro Taniguchi who is helming Red.

One Piece will be on a break starting June 27, 2022, and will return in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #34 on July 25, 2022. One Piece Film: Red will be released in Japan on August 6, 2022. The international release dates for the movie have not yet been announced. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
