Netflix Tudum 2022 Korea Showcase: Everything Announced


Netflix's Tudum Korea showcase is happening right now. With the global success of Squid Game, Netflix chose to have the opening sequence play tribute to the show. Acapella group MayTree sang the entrance using a track from the show. The event is hosted by Choi Min-ho and Choi Yi-hyun.

Here are the updates they released:

Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area

Netflix released the first look at new episodes of Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area.

The clip shows a man being chased by Cha Moo Hyuk (played by Kim Sung-oh) and his men into an abandoned building. As he catches him, the man asks The Professor to spare his life. He is told that the "higher ups have already made their decision. People like us are just discarded after being used."

Singles Inferno Season 2

The hosts of the show confirmed that the reality dating show is coming back for a second season. Moon Se-hoon and Shin Ji-yeon return to the set of the show and talk about the return of the show. The two also talked about how the set brings back memories.

In addition to that, they revealed some things that viewers can look forward to seeing in Singles Inferno Season 2. The new season will have night dates, which the first season didn't have.

Korea No. 1

Korean comedian Yoo Jae-suk, Volleyball player Kim Yeon-Koung, and Prince of Asia Lee Kwang-soo -- three of Korea's top celebrities get together in a variety show where they experience labor in local areas in Korea No. 1.

The trio will be visiting master craftsmen in Korea to experience their traditional culture and share it with the rest of the viewers.

Physical: 100

A new show introduced at today's event is Physical: 100. Just as its name suggests, the show will have 100 contestants competing in an ultimate survival game "to explore what is the most perfect physical body regardless of gender, age and race."

The Fabulous

Choi Min-ho stars as Ji Woo-min with Chae Soo-Bin as Pyo Ji-eun in the new Netflix series called The Fabulous.

The show is about "the dreams, friendships, and romance of young people working in the fashion industry."

20th Century Girl

At the Tudum event, Netflix confirmed that 20th Century Girl starring Kim Yoo-jung.

This is also the first time we're seeing an official clip of 20th Century Girl.

Somebody

Netflix also announced a new Korean thriller film based on a murder case involving a social networking app. Kim Young-kwang stars in Somebody, which will arrive soon on the streaming giant.

The Glory

The movie stars Song Hye-kyo, Lee Do-hyun, and Kim Eun-sook in a drama about a "woman who suffered by the bullies in her childhood who puts her life at risk to prepare for absolute revenge."

The Glory will be released later this year.

Glitch

Glitch will be released the earliest. It stars Jeon Yeo-been and NANA. It's a story about Jihyo, who can see aliens, and Bora, who has been tracking down aliens. The two look for Jihyo's boyfriend who has suddenly gone missing without any explanation.

A preview of Glitch has been released at the event.

Hellbound Season 2

It's official! Netflix has renewed Hellbound for a second season. The clip shows the last scene during the finale of the first season where the corpse of Park Jungja (played by Kim Shin-rok) is brought back to life and she wakes up naked and confused.

We don't know much about what happens next but now that the show is confirmed to return, we have something to look forward to.

Squid Game Season 1

Netflix also tweeted an unreleased scene from Squid Game Season 1. The 1 minute clip features the director, Hwang Dong-hyuk, thanking fans around the world for loving the show. He also promised that season 2 will be filled with all-new stories.

The clip shows a man walking into his apartment with a goldfish in a plastic bag. He transfers the fish into a small bowl. The scene then shifts to a man watching him from below the street. The man outside doesn't reveal his face but has similar features to Hwang Jun Ho (played by Wi Ha-joon), which could only mean that he survived the fall and gunshot wound.

Confirmed Renewals
