Logan Marshall-Green Partners With Michael Keaton’s Villainous Character in Spider-Man: Homecoming

Over the past few months, we've seen the cast list of Spider-Man: Homecoming gradually filled up.

We saw Zendaya, Michael Keaton, Michael Barbieri, Donald Glover, and most recently, Martin Starr joining the franchise reboot. We've also witnessed reports of MCU characters crossing over with Sony's Spider-Man's Universe, such as Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark and Captain America: The First Avenger actor Kenneth Choi. There's even rumors of Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fiskand The Vulture joining the movie as villains.

While these headlines certainly reveal more of the characters we could be seeing in the highly anticipated movie, there's still plenty of mysteries and details about the movie that piques fans' curiosity. One of the main questions fans have is Spider-Man: Homecoming's villain/s.

Well, the only news we have so far is Keaton supposedly being eyed as a potential lead villain. Well, it looks like the former Batman won't be the only baddie in the movie.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Prometheus actor Logan Marshall-Green is also being eyed as a potential evildoer. In keeping tabs with the movie's secrecy, there was no mention of his characters' name in the report, but it did say that he will be teaming up with Keaton's lead villain. It looks like Spider-Man: Homecoming is continuing the tradition of previous Spider-Man movies which featured multiple villains. Even Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4 had 3 potential villains.

Looking at the report, it's hard to decipher which villain Marshall-Green could be playing, However, if we're to look at the rumors back in April of The Vulture joining the movie, Keaton will most likely be the villain, and since it was also rumored that The Tinkerer is supporting The Vulture in Homecoming, then it's highly possible that The Tinkerer is Marshall-Green's character.

However, there's the only downside to this possibility is that Tinkerer looks way older than Marshall-Green. Then again, in the world of franchise reboots, anything could happen. Sony already created a completely different peter parker and handed over "creative decisions" to Marvel for the movie. Certainly, anything could happen in the Homecoming cast and plot.

In any case, I think Marshall-Green would play a great villain, regardless of whether he is the Tinkerer or not.

We'll probably know more about his character and the rest of the cast in the next months to come. Hopefully, we'll even see a trailer. We have more than a year before Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters on July 7, 2017.
