King Charles III reportedly believes that he could already be on a path to reconciliation with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Even though the process would entail hard work from all parties involved, Queen Elizabeth’s recent death proved that there has been some progress between the three individuals.

King Charles III Sees Tremendous Hope For A Reconciliation With Prince Harry, Meghan Markle

A source recently told The Telegraph that King Charles III sees tremendous flickers of hope for reconciliation with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

“Over the last 16 days or so, there were tremendous flickers of hope. In terms of the future, there is the hope of a cause for unity. It remains the case that King Charles loves both of his children,” the source said (via 7news.com.au).

In his first speech as the king of Britain, King Charles III gave Prince Harry and Markle a short but sweet shout-out when he sent the couple his love as they continue to make a life overseas.

This move was seen as King Charles III’s way of extending an olive branch to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who previously criticized him during their interviews.

Prince Harry Criticized King Charles III’s Parenting Style

During his interview with Oprah Winfrey last year, Prince Harry aired his sentiments over how King Charles III raised him, as well as some of the things he told him while he was growing up.

“My father used to say to me when I was younger … ‘Well, it was like that for me, so it’s going to be like that for you.’ That doesn’t make sense — just because you suffered, that doesn’t mean that your kids have to suffer, in fact, quite the opposite. If you suffered, do everything you can to make sure that whatever negative experiences that you had, you can make it right for your kids. Isn’t this all about breaking a cycle? Isn’t this all about making sure that history doesn’t repeat itself?” he said in The Me You Can’t See (via Page Six).

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also indirectly dragged King Charles III’s name during their interview with Oprah Winfrey. The couple claimed that there was racism in the royal household, and fingers were pointed at King Charles III even though the Sussexes did not mention his name.

King Charles III Doesn’t Want To Burn Bridges With Prince Harry, Meghan Markle

In his article for Yahoo! News, royal commentator Neil Sean claimed that King Charles III still adores Markle to this day. And he doesn’t want to burn bridges with her because he knows that she’s the key to repairing his relationship with Prince Harry.

“Charles simply cannot fathom just how he has ended up like this with Harry when they were once so close, and now Meghan holds the key to that. She knows he will need her if she is to allow Harry back into any kind of relationship with his father, and Charles is very aware of this. Let’s face it: she booted her own father as he did not fit the remit when she elevated herself to her latest role, so Charles won’t get a look in,” Sean wrote.
