Following Queen Elizabeth's death, Meghan Markle joined Prince Harry, Prince William, and Kate Middleton to greet mourners outside Windsor Castle. A viral video from the outing shows the Duchess of Sussex hugging one royal fan.
The gesture was lovely, and it became the talk of the town after it was shared on Tiktok. However, it also became the reason why Markle and her PR team were accused of paying an actress to stage the special moment with the Suits alum.

The woman who took the video was standing beside the 14-year-old who received a tight embrace from Markle. She was dragged into the controversy after a body language expert claimed that she looked like a paid actress, and others also alleged that she's the mom of the teenager.
"I have no relationship with this girl. I'm not associated with her. We were purely next to each other in the crowd by chance. We were total strangers. However, we did end up bonding over the fact we were both really excited to see Meghan. Originally, we didn't know she was going to be there. It was just William and Kate at first. So, when they said Meghan and Harry were going to come, I think out of the people around us we were the two that were the most excited by it," Isabelle Charters said (via Daily Mail).

Meghan Markle's PR Team Did Not Pay Royal Fans To Help Boost Her Image
Charters also denied that she was paid by Markle's PR team to boost Prince Harry's wife's image, especially in the wake of her rift with the royal family.
"I'm just here to clear it all up. I'm the girl in the denim jacket. I'm the girl who says, 'Oh my goodness. You are so lovely. You are literally so beautiful.' So, here's where it gets crazy. I have seen videos, TikToks, and articles saying that I am this girl's mother, saying that Meghan's PR team paid me to be there," she said in her TikTok video (via Radar Online).
Charters also claimed that some people have been saying that she was planted in the spot where she was standing and that she and Markle had already met at the Invictus Games before. However, none of these was true.
"Ultimately, I wanted to show that the experience and interaction that we had with Meghan was really lovely and genuine," she said.
Meghan Markle Supporter Wanted To Make Her Feel Welcome In The UK
Amelka Zak, who had the chance to hug Markle, spoke with CNN about her encounter with the former senior working royal.
"It's such a sad thing what is happening now because the queen died and also because of everything. It was quite nice to see William and Kate and Meghan and Harry together. I just wanted to show her that she's welcome here, I guess," she said.
