While it’s been known for a while now that the manga is soon coming to a close, new reports say that the Kaguya-sama: Love Is War manga is ending in the next few chapters.

Specifically, several notable anime/manga news pages on Twitter shared that Kaguya-sama is ending in just four chapters.

This means the series will end in just a month or more if there are some breaks in between.

Back in late June, it was revealed in Issue #31 of Weekly Young Jump that the manga’s story will end in 14 chapters. Since then, nine Love Is War chapters have already been released.

If you count Chapter 268 (which was released in the same issue as the announcement) as part of the last 14 chapters, the new reports of its ending line up with the confirmed information.

Given this, fans should expect the manga to end its story soon.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War is a romantic comedy manga series by Aka Akasaka.

The manga was initially published from May 2015 to January 2016 in Miracle Jump.

Starting from March though, Love Is War was transferred to Weekly Young Jump.

The series follows Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya, the President and Vice President of the elite Shuchiin Academy high school, respectively.

While initially formal with each other, Miyuki and Kaguya develop feelings for each other, but because of their pride, they refrain from confessing their feelings to one another.

Instead, Miyuki and Kaguya make up increasingly complicated schemes to get the other to confess.

The manga proved to be popular enough that it received a TV anime adaptation by A-1 Pictures.

Its first season aired in Winter 2019, and it was followed up by Seasons 2 and 3 which aired in Spring 2020 and Spring 2022, respectively.

While the manga will likely end soon, fans should still have more content to look forward to as recently, it was announced that a movie entitled Kaguya-sama: Love Is War: The First Kiss Never Ends will be released in Japanese cinemas in late 2022.

After its theatrical run, it will be released on TV. However, there’s no word yet on whether it will get a cinema release outside Japan too.

When the manga ends, creator Aka Akasaka will still be busy with his other ongoing manga, Oshi no Ko.

Akasaka is also said to have another project lined up featuring a new artist.
