What Is Boruto: Naruto Next Generations About?
The Boruto manga was greenlit after Kishimoto suggested his longtime aide, Mikio Ikemoto, draw the illustrations. However, Kishimoto took over after Boruto reached Volume 14. It was originally penned by Ukyo Kodachi for Volumes 1–13.
On May 9, 2016, the Boruto manga was first published in Weekly Shonen Jump, before being switched to V Jump on July 20, 2016. The manga has also generated a spin-off, Boruto: Saikyo Dash Generations, written by Kenji Taira.
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations follows the story of Boruto and his comrades against the looming forces of the Otsutsuki clan.
It not only stars the previous shinobis of the Leaf Village, including Naruto and Sasuke but also includes the events of Boruto: Naruto the Movie.
The series has also been adapted into a novel titled Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Novel.
Currently, the series has released five novels, including The New Leaves Soaring Through the Blue Sky!, A Call from the Shadows! , Those Who Illuminate the Night of Shinobi! , School Trip Bloodwind Records, and The Last Day at the Ninja Academy!
Many Naruto fans have voiced their displeasure with the Boruto manga. It received a lot of criticism because of the series' many controversial issues.
Fans believe that the creators are not only milking the manga but that the plot of Naruto has been dragged out for far too long.
This is one of the most serious problems with shonen anime and manga that has become problematic in the eyes of fans over time.
Is the Boruto Manga Finished or Ongoing?
The Boruto manga is not going away anytime soon. It is still ongoing, with 19 manga volumes released so far. After 79 chapters of goodness, fans will have a lot more to look forward to in the future!
However, Mikio Ikemoto plans to end the manga in Volume 30. This will bring the Naruto saga to a close after 100 volumes from beginning to end.
But don't worry, it's not going away anytime soon. It would take more years of hard work for Ikemoto's team under Kishimoto's supervision. Based on the manga releases of Boruto, fans believe that the Boruto manga will end by 2028.
The Boruto manga has already produced five arcs: the Versus Momoshiki arc, the Mujina Bandits arc, the Ao Arc, the Kawaki arc, and the Code arc.
Kishimoto had concerns about the Boruto manga. He believes that the characters introduced in the manga will be similar to his previous ones in some way.
He does, however, have faith in Ikemoto and the rest of the Boruto team to do their best to cast a different light on the sequel.
Boruto differs from Naruto in execution and the incorporation of new elements.
While Naruto relies on traditional shinobi techniques, Boruto is more concerned with integrating technological elements into the anime.
